Discovery

Bella POV
"Sees who?" I asked.
"Bella!" Jacob exclaimed. He looked surprised to see me.
"Let's go to the shed okay?"
"Not until you tell me what's going on!" I hate that he's hiding things from me. I gasp when I see who's standing in the centre of the group. It's those teens from the tour, the ones who ran. I didn't think they'd make it.
"How'd you get away?" I demanded. I was astounded
"Abilities." Was the only cold answer I received.
"How did you get here? Alice should have seen you coming." I had to get to the bottom of this.
"Who?" The girl asked confused.
"I'll see you later." I told Jacob.
Someone had to know.

Carlisle POV
Bella rushes into my office, obviously excited about something.
"Carlisle! You know those kids Edward, Alice and I mentioned?" She asked in a rush.
"From Italy? Yes." I replied unsure of where she was going with this.
"They're here! At Billy's! They got away from Demitri!" Now I see why she was so excited. Those poor children.
"I'd better go check if they're okay, and make them feel welcome here." I had to make sure the kids were alright. I hurried to the border, and asked one of the wolves if I could cross. Surprisingly, I was allowed. I walked to Billy's house and knocked on the door. When the "come in" was shouted I walked into the living room. I quickly noticed the two teenagers sitting and talking with the pack.
"Who are you?" The girl asked. She was suspicious but, there was a certain curiosity about her that outweighed the suspicion.
"I'm Carlisle, may I know your names?"
"I'm Hermione" she answered before the boy said.
"I'm Draco." So far so good.
"Well Hermione, Draco, I've come to say that you are more than welcome to stay here for as long as you need."
"Thanks Carlisle." This time Draco spoke for them.
"It also came to my attention that you escaped from the most powerful vampires. You are obviously stronger than most people. I was hoping that you could help cure some diseases." I hoped they wouldn't mind.
"Will this require needles Carlisle?" Hermione asked, she looked like she was willing to help. Draco didn't look so sure.
"What. The. Bloody. Hell. Are. Needles?" He asked in a frightened voice.
"This." I said, pulling one out of my pocket. The look of absolute terror on his face was more than a little amusing.
"I'll just be taking a small amount of your blood for testing."
"Ok Carlisle!" Hermione said as she happily gave me her arm. I took out only a quarter of a needle full.
"Draco." I said holding out my hand to take his arm. He slowly handed his arm over and I removed the same amount of blood. The kids weren't squeamish about blood.
"Wait!" Draco called after me as I turned to go.
"What?" I asked confused.
"Is it true you sparkle?" Well that was an unexpected question.
"Um...yes." I replied, not sure where this would lead.
"Prove it, because it sounds ridiculous." He stated flatly.
"Alright, follow me." I walked out of the house and into the woods. I led the teens above the cloud line. They watched as my skin caught the sun and sparkled like diamonds. Suddenly, Draco burst out laughing so hard he had to sit down.
"What?" I asked indignantly.
"You, you, you're a glittering fairy princess!"
"Never say that to a proud vampire Draco. It may get you killed. But, at least you have the courage to say it to their face." I scolded him, even though I was chuckling a bit.
"Now, any other questions?"
"Yeah." Hermione said.
"What kind of blood do you drink?"
"Animal blood."
"OK Carlisle, see you later!" Draco shouted as he and Hermione headed back to Billy's. I had to test their blood against so many diseases. When I got back to my lab I mused over which disease to try first, decided on cancer. I injected Hermione's blood into the cancerous cells of a stage 4 liver cancer patient. The results were astonishing. It almost completely obliterated the disease. On a whim, I combined it with Draco's. The blood merged and formed something that completely destroyed the cancer. I had found the cure. I was rich... again. I drove swiftly to the hospital, recreated the cure their blood had made. I showed it to the patient's family, who authorized me to give them the cure. I administered the cure and the result was miraculous, the cancer died in a matter of hours. Now all I had to do was wait for more patients. Then Esme called, my family had heard I'd found the cure for cancer. They wanted to know how. I sighed, I did not want to tell them about the teens but, I didn't see how I could not. They were my family after all. I headed home.
