Third Person POV
As Draco and Hermione sat on a fountain in Volterra, Hermione looked at how much money they had, and where to eat. Draco on the other hand, was people watching.
"Hey Hermione," he said in a slightly nervous voice.
"A tour group hasn't come up yet and it's been hours. But, they're preparing another tour group for the same tour."
"That's silly!" Hermione said slowly. "They don't start another tour of the same place if one's not finished."
"Well, they're doing it anyway. I'm getting us tickets."
"Don't be an idiot!" Hermione shouted.
"There's obviously a problem. Use your head Draco, please!"
"I wonder if there's something down there."
"Draco, if there are vampires down there than it's even more of a reason not to go I'm a werewolf hybrid!"
"It'll be fine. They probably are full. After all, they ate the other tour group. Besides, your scent should scare them away."
"You better be right about this."Heidi POV
I was approached by two teenagers asking for tickets for the tour of the catacombs. I gladly handed over their tickets, they smelled heavenly! I hoped I would be the one to drink one of their blood. After waiting the longest 15 minutes of my entire existence, I was starving. All that was keeping me from ripping the two teenagers throats out, was the fact that they were at the very back of the group and, we were still to near to the exit. Finally, we were approaching the doors, and I called out.
"Everyone stay together!" I watched Demitri leading two vampires and a human passed us. The human smelled good, but not as good as the teens. I could tell Demitri smelled them because he whispered
"Save them for me." The boy's head jerked up, he'd heard us. Then I led them into the throne room.Draco POV
I grabbed Hermione's hand and by sheer instinct, the child in front of me. Just as those bloody doors opened. Bloody, that's exactly what the room was. But I knew at least two vampires were after Hermione and me. Letting my creature instincts take over, I threw the kid over one shoulder, and Hermione over the other, almost dying under their weight. Then I ran, all in the span of three seconds.Demitri POV
To say the kid was fast would be an understatement, even for a vampire. Me and Heidi were so close to catching them, so close. Even Edward joined in the chase. That's when the kid ran through the wall.
"What?!" I heard Heidi scream in frustration.
"Go get someone for us to eat so I can hunt them!"
"Okay Demitri " I knew the moments hesitation had cost us our prey. For now.
"Finally," I thought to myself. A challenge.Hermione POV
Draco didn't stop running, though I kept screaming for him to put me down, until we reached the cottage. Then I realized we had a crying child on our hands.
"Sh" I whispered softly to him.
"We won't let them hurt you."
"What's your name?" Draco asked him.
"Allen Morris." He said with a sniffle.
"Ok Allen." Draco said.
"Do you know a family members address?"
"Yeah." Allen answered.
"185 Rosemary Street."
"Good boy." Draco congratulated. Taking Allen's hand, he walked to the fireplace. He stepped inside with Allen and shouted clearly.
"185 Rosemary Street!" They disappeared in a swirl of green fire. Then I picked up my handful of powder and shouted.
"Malfoy summer home!" As I disappeared vampires filled the cottage.Demitri POV
We missed them by seconds. Seconds! Then I thought...
"What had they been doing? Where was the Malfoy summer home?" Oh well, this will be very fun.Draco POV
I can't believe the floo actually worked! Unfortunately, I had to Obliviate the child. Poor boy, lost his parents to vampires. When I got home to Hermione, she looked white as a sheet.
"What's wrong?" I asked her. I hoped she wasn't injured.
"Draco, they almost got me!" She said, her voice breaking in panic and shock. Oh crap, how had they tracked us that fast?
"Did you leave anything?" I was trying to stay calm.
"Just a hair tie."
"Ok, good. No way can they track someone down with that." I hoped that was true, for both our sakes.
