Hermione POV
I sprinted in my wolf form with the rest of the pack for the border, weaving between trees I saw that Victoria had just jumped onto our side. Paul lunged for her but she dodged, jumping back onto the Cullen territory. When she jumped across a second time, I leaped at her, taking her down for a second and causing her to run into the trees. Leah and I were the fastest, so we chased after her. Leah tore her jacket, making her slow down. I sank my teeth into her upper left thigh as she punched Leah in the face and dug my feet into the ground. I pulled and she screamed. The leg popped out like those things you in two pieces around Christmas time, uggh, what are they called? I flew backwards from the inertia, landing in the river. Surfacing, I shook my head and watched another vampire carry Victoria in his arms onto the Cullen's side and away. I shake my head, standing I notice all the Cullens staring at me. I toss the leg to them to burn and prance away.Leah POV
3 days have passed since Hermione tore Victoria's leg off. I am so proud of my only little pack sister. She and I will do anything for each other. We were telling Billy about it when the phone rings. I pick it up, it's Carlisle.
"What is it?" I ask carefully, knowing this can't be good.
"A newborn army is coming in four days, we need your help." He sounded a little panicked. I set his fears at ease.
"Carlisle, we've been training for this attack for a week already. We'd never turn down a chance at them now."
"How did you train?" He was stumped.
"Draco played the vampire trying to crush our ribcages, and keep on our backs." I explained.
"Oh, just remember one thing, Jasper says never to go for the obvious kill, they'll be expecting that."
"Tell Jasper thank you for the advice." I said cheerfully. I then hung up with a sigh, I would be such a bitter person without Hermione's support and Draco's sense of humor. But, I won't be complete without my imprints.Carlisle POV
After Leah hung up I informed my family that the wolves were willing, and had actually been training against the newborns for a week. Edward rushed into the room in a rage.
"What is it?" Esme asked.
"THE MUTTS! I can't Read Their Thoughts!" Edward screamed.
"Oh, so this is a temper tantrum." Rosalie snides.
"Poor baby Edward can't read the wolves thoughts, so he's a little cranky." Rosalie says in a baby voice.
"Edward," Esme reminded him.
"We call them wolves now, not mutts. Remember?"
"Whatever, the important thing is that Hermione and Draco have taught their secret to the pack. Carlisle we have to do something! The mutts-"
"Wolves." Esme corrects him in a sharp tone.
"Ugh, the wolves are a threat to us now more then ever! We need to call the Volturi to wipe them out. Demitri is hunting Draco and Hermione anyway, two birds with one stone."
"Edward, we need the wolves help with the newborn army if you haven't forgotten. They have been training for a week already. Besides, they have respected our treaty with them. There is no reason for their deaths." I had to get it through his thick skull that he couldn't have anything he wanted all the time!
"But Carlisle," Alice whined, coming into the room.
"Surely after we've dealt with the newborns the Volturi can slaughter the pack."
"Alice, if the Volturi attack the pack then Draco and Hermione will help the wolves. Whatever you think, it will not be a one sided massacre. I haven't seen Draco up against a vampire but, we have seen the aftermath of Hermione attacking one. For all we know, Victoria is dead." I hold up my hand to stop her argument and continue.
"At least half if not more of the Volturi will be killed if they go after the pack, especially now. Aro would not risk so much of his coven. Also we all know that Hermione and Draco will only get stronger and not become vampires if bitten. This decision is final. We ally with the wolves, and take out Victoria if she's alive. We leave the wolves alone." By now Bella has joined us she argues as well.
"But-"
"ENOUGH. This is FINAL." I have never been this angry with my family. They nod their agreement but look furious with my decision. This isn't going to be good.
"Well," Jasper says in a false cheery voice.
"Let's start training then."*At training*
Bella POV
I cannot believe Carlisle invited the wolves to training. It's not like they need the practice. I hate Hermione and Draco, they are keeping my Jacob away from me. I slowly walk over to where Jacob is standing,
"Aren't you going to say hi?" I whispered. He just ignored me like I wasn't important to him anymore. How dare those two freaks change him like this. Hermione sat watching Jasper show moves to the werewolves. The entire pack were paying surprisingly close attention. I wondered how they were going to practice any of this. I asked Edward and, he whispered to me that he didn't know but Carlisle might.Jacob POV
Bella came over to me I sighed, knowing that I couldn't hurt her since she was human.
"So this is how it is?" She whined. Her shrill voice cutting into my ears.
"You won't even look at me anymore, what have I ever done to you." I decided this had to end. I allowed her leech to read my thoughts but only the ones I focused on. He translated for me tentatively.
"Bella, you left me like I was trash. I realized that I am better off without you in my life. So stay the f**k away from me. You're still human so I'm not allowed to harm you but, become a vampire and attempt to come near me and I will happily tear you to pieces and burn them. Come close as a vampire and you'll become nothing, Bella. This is your last warning. Now. Go. Away." I tossed Edward out of my head again after that. He ran over and pulled her into a car.
"That. Was. AWESOME!" Seth exclaimed in my thoughts.
"Yeah it felt good." I thought back.
