"Want daddy" I heard sobbing outside of the hospital room.
He was crying the same way he cried when he was a couple months old.
Ella saw me, and rolled her eyes before pushing her hair out of her face.
He tried to stand up in his hospital bed, but Ella wouldn't let him, and he dropped down onto his knees and sobbed in her face.
"Pooh, stop" She pleaded and kissed him.
I put his stuff down and got into the bed with him. "What's up?"
"Fuck you, Rakim. I'm so done with you and all the bullshit that you come with" Ella said.
"I'm not worried about us, I'm worried about him right now. What the doctor say?" I asked.
Rocky dropped down onto my chest and whined before he started crying again.
Under his eyes were puffy, and he started to kick the bed.
Ella pulled his hand away from his face. "He has an ear infection and he tried to dig in it"
He started crying so hard that it went silent, and kicked Ella.
I pulled him away from his mother, and he broke out into a coughing fit.
I let him stand up, and held my arms out on either side of him.
After turning in a full circle, a doctor of about thirty two came with a bottle and handed it to him.
I recognized her from my 'I need someone to take care of me' phase.
She treated me well.
Rocky dropped down on me and stretched out.
I made eye contact with the doctor, and we broke it at the same time.
So this is what we were up to nowadays.
"Rakim" She mumbled quietly.
I nodded my head. "Clair"
She checked out the baby, and he kicked at her too.
He was going to be fine in a couple days. Clair's words.
I got out of the hospital bed when he was too sleepy to care. "I'll be back around"
"You are unbelievable" Ella said.
"What is so hard about staying here with him?" I asked. "Do you not understand how much I have on my plate right now? I get out of jail and all of this shit is in my face"
