Walking into school that day didn't turn out as bad as I imagined. When people saw me, they didn't connect me to the weird and shy kid.

I was new. I was suddenly a novelty. And they treated me like one of their own.

The shy Byun Baekhyun died that day, and taking over his place was the newly improved and confident Byun Baekhyun that everyone couldn't help but love.

Is everything that I wished was true . . .

End of journal entry.

With his newly dyed hair brushed back from his face, and his new clothes conforming to his body, people didn't give him their usual glares. No, instead Baekhyun received body-traveling stares from both genders.

They don't recognize me, Baekhyun thought, both relieved and saddened by the thought.

Feeling braver, he walked upright for the first time down these hallways, improving his height and making him look taller. Eyes continued to follow him, and once he had slipped inside the bathroom, he allowed himself to breathe and murmur a quiet, "It worked," as a sole tear of relief fell from his cheek.

But his cause for celebration was short-lived when only seconds later the bathroom door was opening again and his usual group of terrorizers filed inside.

Their eyes were unreadable, and then Jungkook, the one who hated him the most, said, "Did you honestly think we wouldn't recognize you, Byun? You may have dyed your hair silver and bought new clothes, but it isn't enough to change the fact that you're still a piece of shit who never should have been granted the right to walk this earth." Jungkook paused, a slow smirk forming across his features as he watched Baekhyun's eyes filling with tears as the crushing knowledge that his plan failed.

But then his expression changed, and suddenly he said, "But know that you're a hot piece of ass, I'll consider taking you under my wing. If you want to break free of your constant beatings, come to the party this Friday at Jimin's house, and we can discuss your role of our group - that is, if we allow you to join." And then with a nod from Jungkook, Jimin stepped forward and grabbed Baekhyun's hand, producing a pen in his hand before he began to write out an address - his address.

"Don't be late. And you better show up if you want to keep that newly pretty face of yours," Jungkook said before, finally, they left the bathroom, allowing Baekhyun to at last break down into his barely contained sobs.

The night of the party loomed quicker than Baekhyun would have liked, and around eleven at night, he was slipping through his bedroom window and following the directions to the house he had rewritten on a piece of paper.

When he reached the house, the party was at full swing and the music was blasting. Drunk people were milling around the lawn, some too intoxicated to even move or walk. Others were furiously making out on blankets thrown carelessly onto the grass, while in the background people threw up into the shrubbery lining the house.

As Baekhyun watched all of this, nervously gnawing on his bottom lip, a sudden, drunken voice boomed, "Yah! Baekhyun! You made it!" And then a very heavy dead weight was slung over his shoulders, and he about collapsed beneath the unexpected weight.

Baekhyun gasped and cried, "Jungkook?"

Jungkook grinned drunkenly and retorted, "That's my name, don't wear it out!" And then he laughed like he just said the funniest thing in the world.

Baekhyun frowned and tried slipping out from underneath his arm as he mumbled, "Jungkook, you're drunk."

"Obviously," Jungkook laughed. "And you should be too," he said while his hand slipped down Baekhyun's arm and clasped his hand, immediately pulling him towards the house as he drunkenly cried, "Byun Baekhyun, well-known loser, is getting drunk tonight!"

Baekhyun flushed at his words and tried pulling free from his grasp, but Jungkook just held on tighter and muttered in a voice too low for anyone else to hear, "If you even try to run away, I'll ruin you. And you haven't seen me at my worst, Byun Baekhyun, so I'd watch my steps if I were you."

A shiver quickly traveled Baekhyun's spine upon hearing his words. He sounds very sober now, Baekhyun thought. I shouldn't cross him.

Jungkook dragged him into the house and to the kitchen that was littered with red plastic cups and paper plates with uneaten food.

Jungkook filled a cup with a burgundy colored liquid and shoved it into Baekhyun's hands with the order of "Drink". Pinching his brow, Baekhyun nervously brought the cup to his lips. The liquid burned as it traveled down his throat, and small tears rolled down his cheeks.

It hurts. It's disgusting.

And when the liquid finally settled in his stomach, he thought, But it's warm. Comforting, even. I can feel my pain ebbing away. Maybe this won't be so bad, after all.

Baekhyun finished off the rest of the cup and slammed it down into the counter as he demand, "More!"

A small smile began to curve the corner of Jungkook's lips as he happily obliged, filling the red cup to the brim with that pain-chasing-away warmth that burned as it ran down his throat.

Baekhyun knocked that one back too, and when he placed it back down, his body already feeling buzzed and light, he grabbed for Jungkook's hand as he said, "I want to dance. Please, dance with me?"

Jungkook smiled and held tightly to Baekhyun's hand as he followed after him to the center of the living room, where people were "dancing" to the music. As Baekhyun began to "dance" too, his hips swaying to the hypnotizing beat of the drums, he lost himself to the heady effects of the alcohol and the burning touch of Jungkook's hands on the bare skin of his waist.

The burning heat consumed his body, hazy images swirled before his eyes, and he submitted.

The burning touch roaming over his hyper sensitive body. A heat along his neck; his chest and abdomen; a trailing touch along his legs and inner thighs; a burning heat inside him. An ache that had him crying and begging. A pleasure; a want.

And then darkness.
