A New Call

A very fat man in red with a stiff mustache cackling in front of a monitor; a large planet, as green as Yavin 4 but with more oceans; droids that he had never seen using technology that was somehow a mix of ancient and obsolete; and an assortment of beings, most having one very dynamic color, all being led by a blue being with green eyes and pointy ears saying, "Welcome to the Freedom Fighters."

His eyes flew open and he sat up, panting. He looked around and saw he was still home. He wiped the sweat off of his brow. He glanced to the other side of the room. She hadn't been woken up by him. He exited the room and looked out over the night on Lothal.

What is the Force trying to tell me? He thought.

"Ezra?" he heard behind him, "Is everything alright?"

He turned around and sat down, his back against a rail support.

"The Force is trying to tell me something, Sabine." he replied.

She sat beside him. "Tell me."

"I think the Force wants me to go somewhere. But, I don't know where."

Sabine didn't know what he was going through, but she knew how important Lothal was to him. She also knew that he was afraid. Afraid that if he left, the Empire would return while he was gone and take his planet from him again.

"How long has this calling been happening?"

"Ever since we freed this place."

"What exactly is the Force saying?"

"It doesn't speak, perse, it's just been giving me visions. They're all the same, too. They start with a very fat man in red who also has a stiff mustache cackling in front of a monitor. Then it goes to a planet, similar to the Forest moon of Yavin, but with a lot of oceans. After that, an army of droids. Not of any design that I've ever seen. Somehow, they are threatening with both ancient and obsolete technology. Last, their were a host of beings, none of which I've ever seen. They all were different in appearance, but were all similar in that they all mostly had one solid color on their body. They were being led by some being who was blue and had green eyes and pointy ears who tells me 'Welcome to the Freedom Fighters.'"

Sabine was at a loss for words. She could only guess that Ezra wanted to know what it meant terribly, but she didn't know how to help.

Ok, that wasn't true, she had one idea. But she knew that he would be very hesitant to do it.

"Do you think we should try to find this planet?"

Ezra remained silent. He was running through his options: stay and be plagued with this vision for probably years on end and more than likely leave innocent beings to die, or go into a new adventure and risk Lothal's safety. It wasn't an easy decision.

"I'll need to think this through the night."

Sabine got up and walked back inside with Ezra. She went back to her bed and fell asleep relatively quickly. Ezra laid in bed staring at the ceiling. After ten minutes, he made his decision. He fell asleep, confident in his decision.

That morning, Sabine woke up, and saw Ezra wasn't in bed. She looked around, and saw him speaking to a hologram.

"Well, if they do come," said the hologram, "we might be able to hold them off until you get back."

"Thank you," Ezra responded, "for doing this, Ryder."

"May the Force be with you."

"Always."

The hologram disappeared. Ezra looked at Sabine, smiling. He rose and took her hands in his.

"You ready for another adventure?"

Sabine kissed Ezra on the lips.

"Of course."

They both entered the turbolift and went down to the ground. They exited the Tower and entered their ship, formerly the Gauntlet, now the Starbird. The ship lifted off the ground, and flew into space. Ready to go wherever it was they were to go, and meet whoever they were to meet.
