Epilogue

Eggman was drifting through space. It had been hours after he was forcibly removed from Mobius, and he had already tried to fly to several different locations. Every time he emerged from hyperspace, he would find a new empty location. Now here he was, at the seventeenth jump point that he had gone to. He was desperately searching for a power source, because he was almost out. He had already trasferred all of Cubot's power to the eggpod, but that barely got him here.

"Boss," Orbot said, "There is a power source just a few hundred meters down and to the left of us."

Eggman piloted the pod over and saw that the energy was some form of a beacon. He activated the external energy siphon to tap into the object. The eggpod was at 15% power when a massive ship appeared in front of him. Many smaller ships started to flow out of its underbelly and towards Eggman.

"Orbot!" he said, "Quickly! Hook up the communication system back to the actual system."

Several seconds later, Eggman made contact with the ship.

"Hello," he said, "Listen, I have no idea who you guys are, and I have no idea where I am. But I think that I could help you guys out."

"Please," said a calm voice, "pilot your vessel into one of the hangar bays. Some of my stormtroopers will meet you shortly."

Eggman did as he was told and true to whoever it was that he spoke to, there were white armored figures all throughout the hangar. He exited and was escorted to the bridge of the star ship.

A man in all white was waiting for him, but he would not turn around and remained mostly in shadows.

"Hello," Eggman said, "My name is Doctor Ivo 'Eggman' Robotnik."

"Doctor Robotnik," the man replied, "A pleasure, I'm sure. You say that you can help us. How could you possibly help the Galactic Empire, whose resources are nigh limitless."

"Because I come from a planet ripe with resources for the Empire to use," he explained, "Not to mention that I have a vast knowledge of robotics and engineering."

The man remained silent. He was internally processing what could be gained from allowing this man to be with them. He also was secretly only wanting revenge. Vengance on the man who left him to die weeks ago.

"Perhaps you could be useful, Doctor Robotnik. I'll have you transferred over to the Imperial Academy on Coruscant. If you are what you claim to be, then perhaps you will reach a rank of General, or even Admiral."

"Thank you, mister..."

He turned around, but Eggman still couldn't make any features out on him.

"You will adress me as 'Sir', doctor."

He ordered his troopers to take him to a Lambda-shuttle. He had only one thought as he stared back into the emptiness of space.

You may have escaped me before, but you won't this time, Ezra Bridger.
