it was hard for joo eunjae to accept that she had developed feelings for a certain senior, seokjin. but she knew it was such an impossible case. so she just learned to admire with distance. but a few treats and gifts for him here and there wasnt bad, eunjae even considered asking him for his number and it worked quite well.
seokjin seemed to have completely taken her mind off of trying to figure out who jeon jeongguk was. "hey, eunjae-ah, i cant take you home today. sorry. i've got cram school later." seokjin scratches his neck, since he was quite fond of he sophomore and didnt want to hurt her feelings.
eunjae just nodded optimistically, "i'll see you around, seokjin." she internally did a happy dance, as she made her way onto the field for soccer tryouts. at least i wont embarrass myself in front of seokjin, she thought that seokjin's cram school timing was great, so he wouldnt have to see her in her worst light.
but it was another certain someone who threw her off as she stepped onto the field, "gather around, i'm your captain, i'm jeon jeongguk, and im a junior here at minjok university." jeongguk's eyes scan around the faces that had presented themselves.
his eyes specifically landed on joo eunjae, instead of the many popular girls that crowded him. "okay so 10 laps all around the stadium please." he clears his throat, following the mix of people that jogged around the field.
"giving up already?" jeongguk frowns at the six girls who stopped at five laps, leaving nine more people to continue the rest of the ten laps.
"okay, stop here." jeongguk pulls eunjae to the side, making he other three boys stop as well. "arent you going to continue?" jeongguk sneered making them sprint away. "why'd you stop me?" eunjae frowns.
"you're a girl, you should take a rest." jeongguk held his hard stare,
"being a girl isnt a disability." eunjae clarified and continued her run.
