"he looks dead, he hardly eats, he hardly leaves his room once he comes home, and he hardly sleeps. he's not the same, and i need answers." seokjin's cold stare scared minha, but she wasn't in the position to deny any involvement with jeongguk. and so she answered as honestly as she could.

"he fell out of love for me, and instead fell for someone else. he hasn't accepted the fact that he loves her yet." she explains. "is that all?" seokjin raises an eyebrow skeptically.

"no. i was selfish. i told him to stop talking to the girl of his dreams. the girl who made him happier than i did. the girl who he loved effortlessly. i don't want to accept it yet. i know i'm selfish for doing this to him, and i hate myself for it. but i don't know if i'll manage without him." she bursts out into tears, her voice cracking into each heartfelt word that pierced her heart.

"have some self-respect, minha. don't reserve yourself for someone who won't give you their all. jeongguk loves someone else, and if you really loved him, you would want him to be happy. even if its not with you." his words shot through her brain like bullets through pillows.

what she hated most was that;

seokjin was right.
