"exams are in a few days, maybe you should go back now." jeongguk spoke through the phone, he wasn't allowed out now. seokjin had grounded him for sneaking out that night, and not coming back days later. "have you gone?" she whispers. "i have. minha asked for your classmates' notes and duplicated them for you." eunjae sighs at the boy's words. she spaced out at the ceiling. "eunjae-ah?" the boy says softly, his voice squeezing a few tears out of eunjae's eyes. "are they still talking about me?" the girl manages to croak a few words out without bursting.

jeongguk knew very well that he couldn't lie to her, so he sighs instead. eunjae knew what the answer was, and so she silently cried, she felt happy that jeongguk didn't have to witness her break down yet again. "you know, i've been lonely at school the past few days." jeongguk mumbles.

"you should go to school, at least do it for me?" he secretly crosses his fingers, "please?"

"will you keep me company?" her voice laced in hopefulness. "i'll keep you company." he assures. "always."
