**Chapter 9**

Owen's POV

"Looks like your friend is in town." Sebastian walks into my room. He sits down on the small lounge chair.

"What friend?" I ask as I sign the last paper for John. Finally! He made one of his men come by and he gave me another stack of paperwork to sign for him.

"Kai." I stop and look dead at Sebastian. Ahh, so he's back in town but what for? Kai is a lifelong enemy. Both of our families hate each other with a burning passion. "One of our men said he spotted him and another one of his guys at the mall just now."

He's obviously in town for a reason and we will find out what it is. If he's here to cause trouble then so be it. He can start it and I'll finish it.

Udria's POV

It's finally Saturday and I'm so happy to be off of bed rest. Well, I wasn't on bed rest for that long. I was checking on Dakota to see how she was doing. My dumb ass decided to stay in the room while Nicholae checked her wound. It looked horrible. I mean it was healing but it still looked nasty. I needed to run out the room before I threw up.

Today was the day I get to go to the mall and visit my new friend. I wanna know her story; why she's where she is now, if she had any family at all. I hope she remembered that I would be coming.

"Victoria, can I take one of your cars?" I walk downstairs in to living room while I put my sweater on.

"Yeah, sure. You can take the Tesla, there's something wrong with Tori. Meanwhile, I'm going to sleep." She gets up from the couch and walks up the stairs and I grab the keys to her car.

Tori would be her jeep. Yes she named her jeep but who doesn't name their car? Exactly. I'm about to walk out to the door when I'm stopped.

"Where are you going?" Owen asks, walking down the stairs.

"I'm going to the mall to meet with a friend." He just stares at me his face emotionless and straight its kinda scary. I like it.

"Wait." He says. Before I can say anything he rushes upstairs. What the hell? I stand by the front door waiting for him to come back so I can leave.

A minute or so passes and he finally comes down the stairs. Before he had on a plain white t-shirt. Now he's wearing a long sleeved grey v-neck. I stare at him up and down and bite my tongue. Ugh! He's so hot.

"Are you done checking me out so we can leave??" He asks annoyed but I can hear a hint of amusement in his voice.

"No hold on..... wait give me a minute..... almost done......OK I'm done." he unlocks the door holding it open for me. I see a small smile visible on his face which makes me laugh.

Its not until I get in the car that I notice he plans on coming with me. Um what? I stare at him with a "wtf" expression. He looks over at me and smiles.

"Where do you think you're going?!" He releases and annoyed sigh.

"Can you just drive, I have some business to handle at the mall so hurry up." He responds. Rude.

I hate sitting in silence. It fucking sucks. Owen just stares out the window and doesn't say not a single word. Fine.

I wonder how mom and dad are doing. It seems pretty bullshit to me that they actually agreed to let us stay with our "friends" for a few. They would've sent out a search party for us.

I mean seriously what type of parents would do that?

Maybe parents that trust their kids...
