Aaron's POV

"It's Blackmailing, Zach! Tell your friend to get a life, I can't believe him. Gosh, just because he can't win a game, doesn't mean he can make people win for him" I was furious, pasing back and forth in front of my bed, where Zach was sitting.

"Please, Aaron. Sit down and let's talk" he gently told me patting his lap, and looked up at me.

As I didn't react, he got up, and I could feel him standing behind me. I ran my hands through my hair, as he placed his hand on my shoulder.

"You're obviously not dealing with this great. So I'm going to leave, to give you some space, to calm down and come back to your senses, okay?" He asked. I nodded and felt him walk out of the room.

I didn't know how to feel, I was going insane. I haven't dealt with blackmailing before, and I'm not quite sure if it is blackmailing and to be honest, I wouldn't mind joining the team, it would only mean more time with Zach.

I honestly didn't know what was happening, I could feel myself getting tired, so I fell back on my bed and fell asleep.

The next morning, I woke up to my annoying iPhone alarm going off. I stopped it and hopped out of bed to do the same old morning routine.

I walked out of the bathroom with wet hair and a towel around my waist and was about to get dressed when I heard my phone vibrating. I picked it up from the nightstand and saw a new message from Zach.

From: Zachary Gilbert Jones:
Hey, baby. I know we're gonna meet up soon 2 go 2 school, but I had to know how u were feeling. Have you calmed down a bit?

The text read, I couldn't help but smile. He was so sweet, and that nickname, though. I quickly typed back.

Hey babe, I'm fine, don't worry, and I'm sorry about last night, it wasn't my intentions for it to go that far, forgive me?

From: Zachary Gilbert Jones
There's nothing to forgive, it was a small mistake. No harm done, don't be so harsh on yourself x

I smiled to myself, probably looking like an idiot and got dressed quickly. As I ran downstairs, I heard my mom groaning.

When I reached the kitchen i saw my parents looking tired as hell. It was Benjamin again, talking about his birthday. I groaned not even having to listen to all that, I felt truly sorry for my parents. I grabbed my lunch bag and threw it in my backpack.

"Hey, Aaron, you're not staying for breakfast?" My dad asked. A flash of sadness showed. My dad was barely home half the time he should be, he works a lot. He has two jobs, one as CEO in a huge company, and one as a soccer coach. Which is probably the main reason why Zach is trying to impress him so much when he's around, which isn't often. I felt kinda bad for not staying to eat, but I couldn't wait to see Zach, and I usually saw my dad at nights, so.

"Sorry, but I'm not hungry" I smiled apologetically and ran out the door. I reached Zach's house and saw him waiting on his doorsteps, as usual. He glanced back quickly and jogged towards me. He pecked my cheek and we walked to school.

"So, have you thought about what Dylan said?" He asked.

"Yeah, and beside not having a choice, I think I'm gonna join the team" I smiled.

"That's great, and I hope that deep down, it isn't only because of Dylan" Zach mumbled looking down.

"It's not completely about Dylan, it's also a little because of you"

"Me? How come?"

"We're gonna be closer to each other, and I'm gonna see you more often, we're gonna train together and play together, and change together" I winked making him chuckle.

"Oh come on, that's the main reason. For me to watch this all day" I said slapping his butt, then we finally reached the school. He was blushing furiously while exchanging his books. I went up to my own locker and grabbed some books when I felt someone tapping my shoulder.

"Dylan" I mumbled, clenching my jaw.

"Hey, Aaron. Have you thought about joining the team?"

"Yeah, I've watched you play, you really need my help, so why not. But just know one thing, I'm not doing this for you, I'm doing this for Zach" I said when I had walked up to him, our noses inches away, I was trying to look intimidating. Trying.

"It's cool, as long as you're on our team, I couldn't care less to who you're doing this for" he smirked

"Whom" I corrected. He just scoffed and walked away with his posse behind him. I looked back at Zach who was rubbing his neck, nervously.

I turned around and closed my locker, we both walked toward our next class, which wasn't together, since I had art and he had science.

We walked through the hallway until we had to go each our way.

"Later," he winked and turned around the corner. I couldn't help but blush on my way to the class. I went in and sat next to Jacey.

"Hey, I've heard you're on the soccer team? So our plans are cancelled or..."

"Oh god Jacey, I'm so sorry I completely forgot that we were supposed to sit together, I've just had so much on my mind, and I'm so sorry-"

"No, no it's okay, I just had to be sure. And I'm gonna be there anyway to cheer you on and congratulate you when you win. I can't wait to see you play, you just seem like that quiet guy and not a jock" she smiled amusingly. I chuckled back a bit nervously, I didn't really know what to respond to that.

"Alright class, today we will do a partner project, to see how far you've come with your drawing skills, here's what you have to do: you have to draw the person next to you. Very easy, you think you can do that?" She asked us. We all responded in a dull tone, in unison.

"Due next Tuesday!" She yelled as we began to draw. I stuck out my tongue (bad habit) while trying do the form of her head first.

After last period ended, it was my first training day with the soccer team. I was in the dressing room, everyone had already changed, and the coach was yelling names out loud.

"Rodriguez-"

"Here"

"Jones"

"Yep"

"Thomson" he yelled, I saw Dylan glaring at me.

"H-here" I stuttered, but coughed it off and pretended it was puberty. Zach playfully shoved me with his shoulders and chuckled. The coach finished yelling names and we walked outside to the field. It was too hot to stay inside. I started off as goal keeper, not letting one single ball inside the goal.

It was getting hotter and half of the players had taken off their shirts, including Zach, which was a bit distracting, but I managed to play decently. There were some girls sitting on the bleachers, probably waiting for their 'boyfriends'. After me being goal keeper, I had to play defense and all the other positions before agreeing to stay as the midfielder, which was where I played the best. After training, everyone was sweating and so the coach let us off, there were only 10 minutes left anyway, but we let him think he did a good deed.

"Well played, mate" an Aussie said on his way in. I think his name was Mike or something, I'm not sure. I smiled nodding my head and went to shower.
