Chapter 24

Adrian's POV

Aaron and I were sitting in the cafeteria with the rest of our friends, Aaron, me, Bailey, Jacey, and Dylan.
We were talking about the party that Dylan was having. I remember Aaron telling me how he hated his parties until the party where it all happened. The party Dylan had, that made Zach and Aaron leave from being only best friends to also being boyfriends. I couldn't help but smile throughout the entire time he told me their story.

"What about you, Aaron. You in?" Jacey asked Aaron casually, as she usually does. She's one of those girls when you meet her she's sugar-sweet, but when you've gotten to know her she's more badass than Bruce Willis.

"I'm not sure... It's not the same without Zach..." He mumbled.

"Aw come on! Maybe this will make you get your mind off him for a while. You need to have fun!" Dylan stated a little too loud since some of the students eating took a second to look our way confused.

Aaron's POV

He was wrong, I wouldn't get my mind off of him at all, and especially not now that I've been talking to him through the phone. We have kept in touch for a couple of days now, but nothing new really. He hasn't spoken to his mom about coming to visit, but he said he's been sucking up to her.

Gosh, I just miss him so much. The late night talks, the touching and feeling. His sweet unexpected kisses. The way he would tickle me into saying things he wanted me to say. Our intern jokes that no one but us understood. Whenever I woke up snuggled into his chest. How he kept hugging me tightly from behind, making me feel so special. It hurts, thinking about him. It just makes me miss him ten times more. I just wish I could see him one more time, since we didn't really get to say goodbye... At least, talking to him through the phone helps a little. However, it's not the same as seeing him in real life, plus he doesn't have internet access, so we can't skype or FaceTime yet. But he said his mom was getting softer, so I guess I have to wait and see what happens. I'm just happy I have contact to him, it's better than not talking to him at all. I talk to him every day, whenever he calls actually, which is every day since he found his phone. He called me yesterday to ask how it went at work. First day in quint wasn't bad, except I knew why he was worried... there were a lot of boys... But none of which made me forget about Zach for a second. Nothing made me even consider cheating on Zach, and honestly, there's nothing for him to worry about. It's not like I could even think about forgetting him, and getting it on with one of my coworkers. I love Zach, and nothing will ever change that. Ever.

"Helloooo?! Jesus fucking Christ! Are you still with us Aaron?!" Someone yelled in my face.

"Wha- what? Sorry, I zoned out... What'd you say?" I stuttered as I found out it was Dylan yelling in my face.

"We were just wondering if you wanted to come to the party?" Dylan asked rather annoyed trying to hide it.

"Uhm... No, but thank you?" I more of asked than answered.

"Oh but we forgot, you don't have a choice... You're coming" Jacey announced and got up as we all had finished our disgusting cafeteria meals.

"Besides, you need to get out of the house for once. You've been stuck in there since Zach left." Bailey said as we walked through the hallway to our next period. Students rushing about, trying not to be late for their period.

"That's not true" I objected.

"Oh I forgot, you go to school and then back to the dark hole you call room," he added making me pout. Dylan, Bailey and Jacey had to turn left for their period, so it was just Adrian and me.

Adrian tried convincing me that they were right; I had to go to that party no matter how much I'd wish I didn't. I kept thinking about bailing again, but I know it wouldn't be that easy. They'd drag me there themselves. No matter what, I was going to that party. Luckily, I don't have to worry about getting heated with anyone, most people know about Zach's and my relationship, and I didn't deny it when people asked if we were together, we used to hold hands in public, hug intimately in public, and once he even pecked my cheek in school. That's how people found out, and now he has moved and it's been officially published that he was gone for a while.
I waited for Adrian to pack his stuff into his book bag so we could walk home. We walked out of the classroom and saw the rest of our friends. We told them to meet us at the party, so we said our goodbyes once again and went home. We arrived, and I unlocked the door to our home. Benji was rushing towards us, and jumped into our arms, after we closed the door behind us. We both hugged him and looked confused.

"Hey Benji, how come you're already home?" I asked as he let go and walked back into the kitchen and continued to eat his sandwich.

"I didn't want to be in school anymore"

"Oh, why not?" Adrian asked as he saw the sad face on Benjamin's face.

"Cause I don't like to be there"
