Our First Real Family Hug

Aaron's POV

We had just gotten back from the small cabin, and were smiling like dumbasses. Nothing sexually happened besides a small kiss now and then, and holding hands. He took me home and had to go home after.

"My mother hasn't seen me in a long time, I'm sorry I can't stay over today, I promise I'll be here tomorrow to help with the party, okay?" He smiled. We were standing outside the door, I gave him a quick peck, and looked back to make sure no one saw.

"Text me" I whispered and he walked away with a wave. I walked back in and saw my parents sitting in the living room, the tv on mute and them talking.

"It's going to be okay, Lisa I'm sure he's a sweet kid"

"How can you be so sure, he was raised by a sociopath!" My mom whisper-yelled.

"Calm down, we don't know how he will turn out to be, just be calm and don't act like a stranger, he might not wanna live with us" my dad responded. I coughed making them know that I was here.

"Oh, hi Aaron." My mom sighed. I walked toward them and sat down next to my mom.

"What's up, honey?" She asked a bit surprised as to why I sat from next to them.

"I'm nervous... a-and excited" I quickly added.

"So are we, son" my dad said from the one seater.

"We can't wait to see your twin" my mom smiled, rubbing my back.

"Do you know if we're identical or fraternal twins?"

"You're identical, him being approximately 2 minutes younger then you" she smiled. I looked down at my hands before hugging my mom and walked up to my room quickly. Stripping out of my clothes, I went under the covers and tried to sleep, that was until my phone vibrated. I took it and saw a text from Zach.

Zachery Gilbert Jones:
What time should I be there tomorrow?

Just around 12am, the party starts at 4pm. I replied.

Alright babe, see u then, sweet dreams x

I wake up to my phone vibrating, it was just Zach texting me. I replied and got into the shower. After finishing getting clean and stuff I walked downstairs, leaving my phone on my unmade bed.

"Hey, honey. Come eat breakfast before Adrian arrives." My mom said from the kitchen, Benjamin and my dad were already sitting around the table.

"Mom, please don't cancel my party! Adrian can just come too! Moooooom pleaaaasee" Benjamin whined.

I went to sit next to Benji and received a plate with egg and bacon on it.

"I don't know, Benji, it will be too much for Adrian, I think he wants to relax and just get to know us" my mom sighed, sitting in front of Benjamin and next to my dad.

"Mom you can't! All my friends are coming"

"He's right honey, you can't cancel in the last minute, people will be so disappointed, not to mention, this is the only thing Benji have been talking about." My dad said seriously, and took my moms hand.

"And it'll help Adrian get to know more people, and it'll also be like a welcome party for him" I explained.

She waited for a minute before speaking up. "Okay, fine you can have your party, but I need all the help I can get. Tom, you take care of the grill, Benji and Aaron you help set it all up in the front yard"

"Deal, and Zach said he wanted to help too" I said.

"Great" my mother smiled.

After breakfast, we sat in the living room in silence, waiting for Adrian. It felt like an eternity when someone finally knocked on the door. Benji had been jumping up and down the entire time, and I was getting very annoyed with him. But then the door knocked and I took a deep breath. My mom got up to open the door, and lead Adrian in to the living room after hugging and shortly talking with some fancy lady out there. She handed my mom some papers and a letter. We all got up to stare at the shy boy in front of us, our dad went to hug him and then pulled away after some time. My mom had tears in her eyes, and I swear I saw a single tear roll down my dad's cheek. It felt like it was a mirror standing there, and not another person. Everything I had, he had. We were completely alike. My eyes widened, and my mouth, slightly open.

"Aaron, Benji, say hello to your brother, Adrian" my mom sniffled. She was defiantly crying.

He went down on one knee, hesitantly, to look at Benjamin.

"Are you Adrian?" Benjamin asked, dumbfounded. He nodded making Benjamin let go of my hand to embrace Adrian. After the hug, Adrian got back up and looked at me, I hadn't changed my expression.

"Aaron, honey, close your mouth, you're gonna catch flies" my mom demanded. I closed my mouth and saw Adrian reaching out a hand. I ignored it and hugged him instead.

It sucked not knowing him from the start, I wanted to know how our relationship would've been like if we had known each other all out life's. Would we have been like Zack and Cody, from 'sweet life of Zack and Cody' and prank everybody and be really funny and creative? Would we be a silent bookworm and a popular jock? What would we have been? What are we gonna be?

"Aaron! You're gonna suffocate him, sweetie" my mom said, laying a hand on Adrian shoulder. He coughed once or twice, making me realize I had hugged him too hard.

"Sorry... I'm Aaron" I smiled.

"I know you, all of you" he smiled looking at all of us.

"N'aw" my mom tutted and embraced him again. My dad joined and a while later, Benji and I joined as well. Our first family hug.
