"This is Neverland, use your imagination"

"To do what?"

"Anything your heart desires"

I squeezed my eyes shut and thought, wishing to be able to fly through the sky. My feet left the ground and the wind hit my face, when my eyes opened I was flying above the trees. The boy flew alongside me, a childish and carefree smile on his face, but that smile turned devious.

"All magic comes with a price" he said before I started falling out of the sky.

I gasped awake, feeling around my bed to make sure I was safe on the ground, not in the air. Little beads of sweat dropped from my forehead. The sky above was still dark.

Ever since that Pan 'visited' me I've been having dreams, like I'm on Neverland, and they always end the same way at the same time. Each night at midnight, during the sounding of the clock, I would wake up just before I die in the dream.

This has been happening for 2 months now, making it an even 8 months to the last time I saw my mom, and even though I forgot what Pan's face looked like I could still remember the tone of his voice, how evil he sounded even though it was hidden underneath a kind and caring tone.

"Take my hand" a voice whispered from behind me. "Come with me"

I spun around, jumping away from the mysterious voice. No one was there and I was starting to think I was going crazy. I squeezed my eyes shut tightly, hoping when I opened them I'd either wake up from the dream I was still in or the voice would be gone.

When my eyes opened I saw I was tied up to a tree, surrounded by 10 boys with hoods covering their faces. The faceless boys I remembered from the day my mom was taken. The ropes we're tight, not allowing me room to struggle against them. Each of the boys had a type of weapon in their hands. Either a spear or a sword or bow and arrow.

"Where am I?" I ask calmly.

"Neverland" a taller boy answers.

"How? It's only an idea, a dream, Neverland isn't a real place"

"The shadow brought you here and it has to be a real place, you're here aren't you?" he said, moving closer to me, away from the circle. "For some reason he wants you on the island"

"When you say he are you talking about the shadow or someone else altogether?"

"Both" a new voice answered.

The British boy himself walked out of the circle, standing beside the tall boy. All the boys kept their hoods over their faces but I could sense they were all staring at me, confused, thinking about why I was here and why I was still alive. Perhaps. Or who I was and how important I was in this game.

"Pan-"

Pan removed his hood, revealing the green eyes that held danger and evil inside. He was smirking, an expression that was most likely always on his face. He cut the tall boy off.

"Felix bring the boys back to camp, I want to have a word alone with our guest. Tell them it's almost time to eat"

I raise an eyebrow but say nothing. The way he said it it sounded like I may be a new addition to the menu, but I didn't let the fear or thought of getting chopped up and roasted alive get to me.

"Why am I tied up?"

"So you don't try to escape"

"No. I wake up in a strange forest, in the dark, in only my pyjamas, surrounded by strange boys who can't seem to take their eyes off of me, and then I hear a conversation that makes it sound like I may end up being dinner, of course I'm not going to try to escape" I say sarcastically.

"There's no way off this island anyway, not without my saying so"

"Why you? You're just a boy"

He chuckles, no humour behind the sound but he looked amused. "I'm more than just a boy"

"Really? Then what are you" I ask, leaning forward as much as I could.

My hair fell over my shoulders when I leaned forward. He came closer to me, bringing his face right in front of mine. I didn't back away or show fear, that's what he wanted. It looked like he was challenging me with his eyes.

"I'm Pan" he answered simply.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"I'm the most powerful being on this island"

"You shouldn't think so highly of yourself, not since I'm on this island now"

He laughed in my face and left, leaving me all on my lonesome, tied up to a tree. I tried getting out of the ropes again but it was no use, they were too tight and my magic was cut off for some reason. It must've been the ropes.

"Believe me Pan, when I'm free from these ropes you'll see who is powerful"
