"What the hell is this?" the sudden and very loud voice of Ronald Weasley echoed through the room. Rose winced and groaned. Ron looked between the three his ears turning red slowly. Scorpius just sat blank akwardly staring at anything other than Mr. Weasley.
Albus, as always, came to the rescue. "We were just discussing the ball from last night" he said as nonchalant as possible.
"The ball which I was just informed you two left early with eachother." Ron said, dangerously calm as he stared down Scorpius. Rose's head popped up, her ruined curls bouncing. Her blue eyes widened.
"Who said that!?" she exclaimed. That must be the mystery person that sent her that picture last night. Who else would inform her father of that? And why would they so easily spoil their plan? Rose silently grinned to herself as her father began to speak. Just when a strawberry blonde head popped in Scorpius' room. "Aunt 'Mione sent me to get you, Ron." Lily said, interupting Rose's chance to find the horrid person. Ron exited quickly. Must be Order buissness, Rose thought.
Lily held in her hands a baby blue basket that appeared to have a nice amount of laundry in it. "Mum sent me to collect all the boys Laundry." she explained, rolling her doe like eyes. She smiled at Scorpius. "In the basket!" she said gesturing to a pile of linen on the floor.
"I s'pose you already got mine then." Albus told his sister.
Lily scoffed. "As if!" she said. "Take it yourself!"
Al groaned as Scorpius threw his laundry in the bin. "But that's all the way to the West Wing!" he yelled. Lily turned and tossed her wavy locks over her shoulder as she sashayed out. "Not my issue" Rose giggled. "Bloody Prat" ALbus muttered. "Well I better go do that damned laundry" He slammed the door shut behind him, causing Rose to wince again.
Rose and Scorpius were now alone, much to Rose's discomfort. She stood up and shifted from foot to foot, unable to meet his eyes. "Er, yea, I better get to chores as well" she spoke quietly, turning on her heel twoards the door.
"Rose-wait!" Scorpius said quickly striding across the room beside her. She stared hard at the wooden floor, counting every crook in it. "Rose" he whispeared. "Look at me." He spoke so quietly. Soft, sweet, and musical. She kept her gaze on the floor until his finger tips tilted her chin up, forcing her sky blue eyes to meet his dark steel gray ones. "Can we atleast talk about last night?"
She frowned and moved her eyes to the spot above his head. "There's nothing to talk about, Scrpius." she said sternly. He dropped his hand angrily and frowned.
"Nothing to talk about?" he snapped. "We had a nice time. Went on a date. We kissed. Then after all that you force me to take you home so you could drink like a fish. Then you say that there is nothing to talk about!?"
She looked up at him in surprise. Scorpius had never raised his voice to her. Never. "I don't know what you want me to say." she whispeared innocently. Scorpius opened his mouth. Shut it again. As if to calm his nerves down.
He looked at her evenly and took a deep breath. He took a step foward and cupped his palms around her face. "Why, Rose?" he said, leaning his forehead on hers to gaze directly into her eyes. Rose's eyes fluttered and she blushed. No one ever looked at her like that. It made her feel warm and fuzzy all over. Better than the alcohol did. "Just, tell me you didn't feel anything" he said, snapping his eyes shut as if she might punch him. Rose clenched her jaw. She stayed silent. She couldn't speak. After a moment's pause he reopened his eyes. His beautiful eyes, Rose could stare into them all day. He tilted his face so his lips were a hair away from hers. She could feel his breath on her mouth. She felt as if she was on a roller coaster right before the big drop. Her nerves were tightning, bracing themselves. "Just tell me you don't feel anything" as he spoke his lips brushed hers ever so softly. She gasped and boom. The big drop. Her eyes shut and she leaned in. His lips pressed against hers with the perfect amount of pressure. His lips tentativly began to move against hers and she relaxed. She felt him smile. And she pulled away a few inches.
"Scorpius." she said lightly. "Scorpius I can't" she said trying to push him off. He only pulled her tighter against him, moving his lips down to her neck. He planted warm soft kisses up and down her neck agains Rose's fading protest. "Sc-" She gasped and leaned against the door. Oh Merlin! How is he doing that? She thought as Scorpius nipped down with his teeth and sucked lightly on her pulse point. "Oh, Scorpius" she breathed. He grinned against her neck and pushed into her more. His lips moved up her jawline to her lips again. She turned her face. "Stop."
He pushed off her, his face pink. "Go on tell me you didn't just feel anything."
She sighed and threw her hands up. "Of course I felt something!" she yelled. "But I cannot risk letting my father find out!"
He creased his eyebrows. "Rose, we both know the dangers in that. But it's worth it! You're worth it." he crossed his arms defiantly. "I will not let you go Rose Weasley. If it's the last thing I do I will not let you go."
"We go to Hogwarts tomorow." She said, turning away from him and placing her hand around the door knob. "I'll let you know at the Sorting"
And she walked out.
