Rode tried. She really, truly tried. She tried to enthusiastically enjoy dress shopping with Victories and Amber. Rose was sitting with Amber on the love seat across from the closed door where her cousin was trying on her hundredth dress. She stepped out beaming her perfect, glossy smile. She had on another pink dress. This one was down to the floor and the glitteriest thing Rose had ever seen. That was NOT a good thing. Victorie looked good in anything. She was tall perfectly tan, blue eyed, and blond. She was honestly a genuinely beautiful person. And that's why she had boys falling at her pink, high heeled feet. Victorie spun around and looked in the mirror on the wall. She gasped and Rose sighed. Rose hoped she wasn't going to turn this dress down too! "Victorie, this dress is-"

"Bloody Beautiful!" She exclaimed.

Rose and Amber looked up in shock.

"Yea! It sure is!" Amber said. "Let's go pay for it."

Victorie scrutinized herself in the mirror once more. She pursed her lips and shook her head. "Too sparkly."

Rose groaned. "Victorie it's fine!"

"Ugh.. whatever let's go pay."

Thank Merlin.

Now it was Rose 's turn to pick a dress. No glitter. No pink. She thought. There was no way she was walking in with THE Scorpius Malfoy looking like a wanna be Barbie. Okay, so to her he wasn't THE Scorpius Malfoy or at least she would never admitt that. But he was her best friend. Although she had been crushing on him since the end of third year. No one knew. Not even Albus. It was her one and only secret. She kept it that way because she knew be could never return the feeling. She dreamt of the two of them, almost every night. And yet, no one knew. Every one thought they were just two trouble making besties. And she liked to portray it that way.

She got up and headed to the dark colored section. She wanted to go for a dark color. Midnight blue? Black nail polish? Converse? That's what she would want to wear but this was an all formal thing. Her mother would kill her if she wore converse with an elegant dress. She didn't want something long. She's trip over something- that was for sure. She grabbed a midnight blue dress and wrinkled her nose. Poofy sleeves. Yuck. She'd looked through a few more and then saw It. A dark blue dress with no sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. It was backless and looked as if it would come about three inches below her bum. Perfect. She rushed to the dressing room to try it on. It was gorgeous! It hugged her curves and showed just the right amount of cleavage. She did a very unRosish squeel and walked out to show Amber and Victorie. They gasped.

"Bullocks Rose!" Amber yelled.

The three girls had seperated after they exsiteed the dress shop and Rose was making her way over to the book shop. She opened the door and a small chime sounded "Afternoon dear!" the shopkeeper greeted. Rose smiled and nodded the old witch. There were very few people in the book shop. She smiled as a small blond todler ran about the store giggling excitedly. Rose disappeared into one of the rows of books in the 'Dark Arts' Section. She looke up and sighed as the smell of leather bound books filled her scences. She spent the rest of her time in the bookshop reading.
