I Need You

She's Really Gone

When you came into my life, you were the only thing that seemed to matter. I felt so safe in your arms. I know we said words, we pushed and yelled but I just want to close my eyes and pray I'm dreaming because I need you so badly. I could really use a wish right now.

In the base, they had successfully tracked down the man's current location. He was in the town village square. Today was the celebration of something about the history of our town. On this day, Nicky and I would just stay in bed watching our favorite  Youtubers. It was really fun. Dr. Luke told us to change into our casual wears and surround the man. We would follow him around trying to see anything strange. If we noticed him doing anything that might infect someone, we'd have to try and get him somewhere and take him down.

Everyone decided that we'd meet in front of the park with our rides. I teleported home and drove my bike to the park. Kevin, Lizzy and Fred were the only ones there. Once everyone came, we drove off to the town square. Nicky was flying beside me as we drove there. She hadn't spoken ever since and I wanted to ask her why but saw that we had arrived already so there was no time to talk. We arrived at the town square and hid all our rides using the invisibility cloaks. We spread out around with our partners. I wanted to talk to Nicky but it would look stupid. We walked around for a while in silence. Nicky quickly pushed me into a building and I fell to the ground.

"What the...?!" She pointed outside and at that minute, the man passed by. "Edward."

I growled and quickly got up slipping out of the shop. Nicky hovered above me as I walked behind him a few feets away so as to avoid any suspicion. He entered a shop where they sold drugs and came out holding a bag. I pressed the green button on my watch alerting everyone. Kevin walked up to him and began to talk to him as though he knew him. Edward didn't want to make a scene so he played along gripping the bag. Kevin led him into an abandoned shop where we all planned we'd meet. I immediately went in and the rest ran in. Dr. Luke locked the door and we cornered the man. He was looking for a way out but we made sure that the chances of escaping were slim.

"What are you doing with those things?" Lizzy asked. "We know who you are you sick psycho!"

He chuckled darkly. He looked at me and began to walk up to me. Kevin quickly pulled out his gun and pointed it at him while I glared at him. I just wanted him to die but that wasn't how I wanted it to happen. He looked at me.

"It shouldn't have been her." He said. "That dart was meant for you! But she was too stupid and she let it hit her on purpose! She knew what was going to happen but she let it happen anyway!"

"She knew?" I said. "How do you know me?"

"Jayln Cameroon, daughter of Louis and Angela Cameroon, heir to the crown of Desmond the tenth, your granddad."

"I turned it down." I growled. "Who are you?"

He smirked. "I'm Edward...Edward Cameroon! Your uncle and the try heir to that throne. I'm going to kill you and your family one way or another and I'll have to power to take over this world!"

The roof broke and he climbed up the ladder. I quickly acted and got my gun running outside. I was not letting him go that easily. I aimed my gun and his head and got ready to shoot his brain our but someone pushed the gun out of my hand. I glared at the person and saw Nicky giving me a stern look. I picked up my gun but it was too late. Luckily, again, everyone was gathered around the fountain for the traditional dance. I glared at her.

"I had him Nicky!" I yelled at her.

"You can't kill him Jay! You won't gain anything from that!" She yelled trying to reason with me. I was too angry at that minute to I went to my bike and drove home. I went straight to my room and saw her there standing near my bed. "I don't want anyone to die Jayln! You're changing!"

"You never knew me!" I yelled. "I wanted to kill him and watch his body fall. I want him to feel what you felt Nicky! I'm doing this for you!"

"You're doing this for yourself you selfish brat!" She snapped. She closed her mouth realising what she had said. "Jay..."

"Get out!" I growled. "Get out and never come back! Go there and rest! Mum and dad were right! It's pointless avenging your death cause you're a waste of time and energy. I hate you so get out of my life! I wish I never met you then I wouldn't be like this! You made me like this Nicky and I can't break free from it!"

She looked hurt and I immediately  regretted what I said. "Fine. I just wanted to help you. I'm sorry." She faded away and something told me that she wasn't coming back anytime soon. I gasped realising what had just happened. I gripped my hair tightly and fell to the floor crying and hyperventilating. I stayed in that position for an hour before I collected myself. I got into bed and stayed there not moving. If I stayed long enough, maybe I'd die and I could apologize. My brothers came to check on me. I told them to tell me about their new job. Apparently, they could rap and after posting their rap online, it went viral and they got a record deal.

"You sing pretty well Jay." Shawn said nudging me. "I've heard you and Nicky sing a lot. Why not come with us to the studio?"

"Please Jay. You inspired our new rap and we want you to hear it first." Adrian added.

"I'd love to come. I'm bored of being here all day." I said trying my best to smile. They kissed me simultaneously on my cheeks before going to their room. I closed me eyes and let the tears fall. It was hard to believe that she was really gone and I made that happen. I felt like I just killed her. I'm a murderer. Well, Nicky was right then..I've changed, and not the good kind of change.
