People say that crying over someone that's dead will never bring that person back. They're wrong cause it helps you conquer the pain. We cry, not because we're weak, it's because we've been strong for too long.

The next day, I went straight to Dr. Luke's office. He seemed to have been expecting me because he was asking the lab technician about the tests. After waiting for a few minutes, he dropped the phone and looked at me. I didn't want to sit cause I was too tense. I was actually scared about what I was about to hear but I needed to know.

"She got NIDS when she was ten. It was injected into her body." I stood taking it all in. Nicky would have surely known so why didn't she say so. I was really confused right then. I bid him goodbye and went out. I walked around for a minute trying to process the new information. If she was injected, she'd know who did it and why. Why didn't she tell us? Was she scared?

"Excuse me." I was stopped my two men wearing suits. I stood still waiting for them to state their business. Instead, a bag was thrown over me and I was tossed into the back of a van. I tried to scream but it was muffled by the bag so I gave up. I lost my best friend and now, I'm being kidnapped. Life really just gave me a huge slap in the face. I sat still not thinking of anyway if escaping. If they killed me, I'd be with Nicky but my family would be a mess. I felt the van come to a stop and I prepared to be thrown out but instead, the bag over my head was removed and I looked up to see...Dr. Luke?

"What's going on?" I asked standing up. "You freaking kidnapped me."

"Nicky said you were quiet." A boy said from outside the van. He was a blonde boy and dressed like some soldier. "I'm Kevin...Kevin Cimmerian."

"Jayln...welcome to Anti-NIDS S.A." Dr. Luke said leading me out of the van. I was now in some sort of lab filled with monitors and different work stations. I explored the room in awe. It was amazing and looked really neat. "Here, we track down anyone that produces NIDS and make sure they get what they deserve. We noticed how caught up you are in finding out who killed Nicky so we thought you'd be the perfect new agent."

"How long has this been here?" I asked.

"A few years." A girl answered. She was dressed like Kevin. "Your sister, Nicky worked here ever since she was sixteen. You may not have seen us but we were at her burial. She was very dedicated to her job and didn't want anyone to get what she had. She wanted so badly to tell you but we were afraid you might tell people. We want to remain a secret cause we're afraid of the government."

Dr. Luke walked up to me. "I started this when I saw that NIDS was becoming the new virus flying around. I recruit anyone who has been hurt by this and you're perfect for the job. All you have to do is say you accept."

I looked at the expectant faces and shrugged. "For Nicky, I accept."

Dr. Luke smiled and held out a watch. "Anything anyone needs to call you, you'll see their hologram on that. Anytime it beeps, you must report to the base immediately. All you have to do is press the green button and you'll be teleported here. Kevin will give you your uniform but first, I want you to know that tomorrow, we'll begin to search for the last person producing NIDS. We found him but our trackers are still digging for more information. And remember, no one can know what you are."

I nodded and followed Kevin into a room. "So, are you and Nicky like a thing?"

"Ew gross!" I said. "I am straight and Nicky's my sister, well not really by blood but she's like my sister. How much did you know her?"

"We were partners." He said shrugging. "She told everyone about you and doing her spare time, she'd use the monitors to spy on you. It was always so funny when we caught her." I giggled.

We got to the room and he gave me my uniform. I tried it on and it fit perfectly. Their uniforms were black jeans with a white shirt and a black leather jacket. Kevin told me that everything I was wearing had buttons on them that he'd show me tomorrow. He showed me how to use my watch to wear my cloths over my real ones. I changed back and teleported back to where I was found. I ran home and collapsed on my bed with a smile on my face. I grabbed the teddy bear Nicky gave me for last Valentine's day and cradled it.

"Jay."

My heart froze when I heard that voice. It was like a whisper in the wind. Then after it was a giggle. I got up and felt a presence in my room. Slowly, I looked at the end of my bed and saw Nicky sitting there cross legged on my bed. She giggled again and motioned for me to come closer. I crept up to her and slowly touched her but my hand went right through me. She held my hand and it didn't go through her.

"I can touch you but you can't touch me." She said frowning a bit.

"You're really here." I said letting my tears fall. "Angel..."

She hugged me and I gasped. She was so cold and it made me want to cry more. It made me want to so badly be with her. She pulled away and wiped my tears away kneeling on my bed. She kissed my cheek and hugged me again.

"You'll probably go soon." I whispered. She smiled cockily.

"Nah, I can't. I was given two choices. Stay up there and never come down or come here and stay with only one person. I of course chose to come stay with you." She said smiling. My heart almost flew out of my chest when I blushed. She frowned when she noticed how quiet I was. "Jay? You're quiet..."

"You've been watching, haven't you?" She nodded. "Are you mad?"

"I should be asking you that." She said sitting closer to you. "I'm sorry for hiding all those things from you. I swear that's the only thing I hid from you...and your birthday gift. Remember, our birthday's tomorrow."

"I'm not celebrating it." I whispered. She frowned and held my hand. "Not without you."

"But I'm here, aren't I?" She said trying to cheer me up.

"You know what I mean." I said frowning deeply. "I'm going to the base anyway. I won't have time to be celebrate." I turned my back on her and began to get ready for her. When I walked into the bathroom, I looked into the mirror. I couldn't see her so I assumed she was still on my bed.

"I'm still here." I turned around and saw her sitting on the toilet. "Ghosts can't see their reflection. And we can walk through anything or just teleport."

I rolled my eyes and began to brush. I was about to strip myself when I remembered she was there. I glared at her and I knew she knew what I wanted. She just folded her arms and closed her eyes. I quickly striped and stepped into the bath tub.

"Are you mad at me?" She asked.

"A bit." I said. "You shouldn't be here."

"I have to stop you from making wrong decisions. If you kill yourself, you'll just end up in hell. We won't be together Jay." I sighed. I knew she was right but I didn't want to show it. "You've changed."

"I haven't." I whispered. She didn't hear me. I wore my robe and went to my room. I wore my night wear and went on my laptop to check my e-mails. I was shocked to see one from Kevin.

Training begins by nine and I know tomorrow's your birthday. Nicky told us.

I glared at her but she just shrugged. I closed my laptop and jumped into my bed. I grabbed her diary and began to read. I stopped halfway and looked at her. I gave her the diary and gave her my puppy eyes. She giggled and began to read it out. We giggled at some parts. No matter how mad she makes me, I can't stop loving her. It's a curse she has, the curse of irresistibility.
