I should have known better than to trust you so little when you were the only true thing in my life. Sure you lied, but you never hurt me so much. You never broke my heart twice in a row. You were the only thing holding it together.
The next day, I wore black jeans and red leather jacket over a red shirt. I wore my black vans and went to the car where my brothers were waiting. We drove to the studio which was only an hour away. Once we got out, we were surrounded with the press. My brothers literally sandwiched me in between as they pushed their way into the studio. I had to catch my breath before we went to the recording booth. I met some other rappers like Jaden Smith who happened to be friends with my brothers. I didn't bother being too chatty so I just sat there watching them. Then, he walked in. Justin freaking Bieber was standing in front of me. I had to cover my face in order not to scream.
"Hey Jayln, meet a friend of ours." I looked up and saw Justin standing in front of me. I smiled and stood up.
"Hi. I'm Jayln Smith."
"I didn't know Jaden was married." He joked. I blushed. "Wait, I remember you. I met you last year backstage. You were with this other girl...Nicky. Where is she?" I saw my brother's faces fall as tears gathered in my eyes. I looked down as they fell. The room became quiet and he must've understood because he hugged me apologizing. "I'm so sorry. I didn't know. Was she...NIDS?" I nodded as he pulled away. "Then guess we're not that different. I lost my mum to that too. I found the person and he's behind bars now. What about Nicky's?"
"I'm working on it." I said. He looked at me as though he was trying to figure something out. Then I looked into his eyes and gasped. "Kevin?"
He winked and I smiled. We both sat down as my brothers entered the recording booth getting ready. When they started, there was this feeling in my chest. The song...I wrote that rap about Nicky and I when I was like ten!
