The Summer That Changed Everything

Chapter 4

Riley and I started getting all the alcohols together and the shot glasses. We then put everything on the glass coffee table that was in the middle of the living area, we both sat around it while Cadence was sitting on the chair right behind me.

After about 8 shots I was drunk off my ass, it felt great. Cadence was laughing so hard because of how drunk we we're. I got up and took a few steps and fell, RIGHT ONTO CADENCE'S LAP! I was too drunk to really care at that point though. I couldn't control what I was saying or doing anymore, I wrapped my arms around Cadence and laid my head on his chest. He didn't do anything about it, I guess he didn't really care.

"Cadence" I heard myself say

"Hmm?"

"I'm in love with you" I looked up at him to see his reaction, I can't believe I just said that.

"You don't mean that, you're drunk you don't know what you're saying."

"I know exactly what I'm saying!" I was standing up now with my arms crossed. I then found myself walking to the door and opening it, I had no idea what I was going to do. I walked out with Cadence behind me and screamed at the top of my lungs, "I AM IN LOVE WITH CADENCE CAROLTEN!"

He then grabbed my arm and pulled me inside. "Shut up Bailey you are drunk, go lay down."

"No I don't want to go lay down." It came out all slurred

I walked over to the couch and sat down and looked at Riley who was busting out laughing about everything that was happening. I got up off the couch and stumbled back to the coffee table and took another shot. Cadence then took the shot glass from me. "Bailey, you've had enough" he then took the shot glass and put it somewhere I couldn't reach.

"You're no fun Cade" Cadence walked back over to the couch and laid down. I got on top of him and started kissing him, he wouldn't kiss back though. He then pushed me off, "stop don't do that Bailze"

"What why?" I wanted to cry but I didn't want to in front of him.

"You're drunk"

"Do you not like me like that?" I wasn't sure if I wanted to hear the answer to that question.

"Bailey....." He didn't have to continue, I already knew what would come next. At least I thought.

"I'll tell you when you're not drunk" he sort of laughed when he said that. I was starting to get bored so I grabbed Riley's arm and pulled her to the door. I didn't have to look back to know that Cadence was following us. I opened the door and dragged her to the beach. I started running down the beach drunk, laughing the entire time. Then a crazy idea popped in my head. I called Riley over and whispered something in her ear, we both turned around and she started taking off her shirt and shorts and I did the same thing.

"What are you guys doing? Stop that!" But we didn't stop, we kept going. I then took off my bra and panties. I heard a group of guys whistling at me, I turned around not realizing a group of teenage boys were having a bonfire not that far from us.

"Come on Cade have some fun!" I then darted down the beach to where the group of guys were. One of them stood up and walked over to me. Cadence then came over as well, he looked at the guy and said something but I wasn't paying attention so I had no idea what he said. Cadence handed me my clothes, I grabbed them and started putting them on. The guy looked at Cadence and said, "Aww come on dude we were just about to have some fun!"

"No, there will be no fun because we are going home and she is going to bed!" The dude looked really annoyed but Cadence didn't really care. Next thing I knew he was picking me up and caring me back to our room, Riley followed.

We got back to the room, Cadence put me in the bed. I was to drunk and tired to fight against him. I laid my head on the pillow and I was out.
