Riley and I haven't talked in days. Weeks, actually. There was nothing left to say until she apologized.
"Ok y'all can not stay mad at each other forever. Y'all will make up eventually. You're Riley and Bailey." Cadence said looking from Riley to me, "Bailey and Riley," then looking from me to Riley. I was getting tired of being mad at Riley but she was the one who was wrong in this situation.
She had to apologize to me before I would talk to her.
"We can stay mad for however long we want to!" Riley exclaimed. She's always been really stubborn, why couldn't she just apologize? Riley and I have been best friends even longer than Cadence and I have. Riley and I grew up together, I don't want to lose her.
"Riley." After that I had no idea what else to say. But, I went for it anyway.
"I'm tired of being mad." Her expression softened.
"Bailey, me too." She was starting to tear up.
We then hugged and didn't pull away for what felt like hours.
I was glad we were all ok. Me and my best friend and my new boyfriend together for the summer that would hopefully never end.
