It had been three weeks since Freya's battle with the hunters. Hiccup was kind enough to let her stay with them on dragons edge and had even helped her build her own hut. All was peaceful and no boats had been spotted around the island. Freya stood at the docks looking out at the horizon looking or maybe hoping to see a boat, but once again there was nothing by water. Freya was almost disappointed in Viggo's lack of revenge. She had beaten him and embarrassed him in front of his men and clients. She expected to wake up the next day to the sound of canon fire and declarations of war. She let out a sigh of boredom and walked to the great hall to see what the others were doing. Perhaps she could find the twins. They always seemed to be having a blast. Literally. It seemed with their care free attitude she got alone with them the most over the last couple of weeks. Hiccup and Fishlegs always seemed to be building and designing things that baffled the young Queen, Snotlout always wanted to flirt with her and the girls always wanted to talk drama or weapons in which she had no interest in. It was always nice to have a little girl time every now and again but Freya couldn't deal with it all the time.

She walked into the hall but was met with only silence. Where was everyone? Had they gone out on patrol without telling her? Walking back out she headed off to the stables. Half way there she was knocked over a scared looking Meatlug.

"What is wrong?" she asked the frantic dragon

"I'm sorry my Queen. It is Viggo. His boats are docked on the other side of the island and they have the other riders,"

"It's Ok Meatlug. Go back and tell the other dragons to be ready and that I'm coming," With a nod and a bow the small dragon flew off once again. She had to hand it to Viggo, he had though this through. To be able to sneak into the edge without anyone noticing them took skill. She could congratulate him later, right now she needed a plan to get the others riders and their dragons back. Viggo had strategize this attack and that meant that he didn't want to attack head on. He would surely have men and traps waiting for her. Changing into her dragon form she flew through the forest low to the ground. They would be waiting for her to attack from the sky and she couldn't let him have an advantage over her. Reaching the edge of the tree line she studied where the cages, boats and men were positioned. It looked impossible to attack from land. She would have to attack from above or behind. If she flew far enough out to sea she could double back and attack but that still left her open to the hunter's dragon root arrows. There was no way she could get close enough to get them back on her own. A small snap alerted the girl making her spin around and draw her daggers.

"Please do not attack!" a small voice called out. It was Smidvarg. The little white dragon crawled out of the undergrowth looking frightened.

"Smidvarg? I'm glad you are ok. Where is the rest of your pack?"

"Most were shot down or caged. There is only a small group of us left," He said looking down. Around fifteen grey dragons emerged from the trees, nuzzling and cooing to Freya. She lifted out her hand to stroke the poor creatures but ended up scaring them. In a flutter of wings the few dragons formed the shape of a speedstinger. It seemed that they could still make smaller creatures. This gave Freya an idea.

"Smidvarg," She called out to the small dragon "can you take on my human form?" The nightterror thought for a second. He let out a small screech and flew to the dragons making the form of a Viking girl. Freya took one step to the side and the dragons mirrored her action.

"Maybe this can work after all,"

Freya was now standing on the rocks at the side of the cove just out of sight from the ships. Slipping into the cold water she thought about the plan again. Smidvarg and the rest of the dragons will take on her human form and lead most of the hunter into the trees. Freya would then swim behind the boats, sneak on board and uncage her friends before Viggo knew what hit them. Of course one they were free they would have to improvise but she would cross that bridge when she got to it. Swimming out far enough to see the cove she gave a wave to the dragons signalling them that she was ready. She watched as the dark figure of a Viking girl leaned out of the trees and stepped on a twig making a huge cracking sound. This caught the hunters' attention.
