Your POV

About a week past from the little incident and I guess you could say I overreacted but Josh did say I was 'hogging' Tyler all the time and that made me question things. What was more important? Our relationship or Josh and Tyler's friendship? I really didn't know what to do so I just didn't talk to either of them.

"Why aren't you going to school?" Ruby walks into my room and asks. "Why are you in my room?" I fire back. "Sorry...I just wanted to know" she says. "No...it's okay Ruby. I'm sorry I said that rudely. I'm not going to school because...well when you grow up you'll understand how...some people understand you and others don't" I explained. "That made no sense" she laughed. "Don't worry about it. Have you had lunch yet?" I ask, standing up from my bed. "No" she answers. "Well let's go make some, yeah?" "Ok"

Half way through making sandwiches, I feel like something isn't right. "Ruby, do you know where mum is?" She shakes her head. "No. I thought she was at work" she says but doesn't sound to sure of it. I frowned "mum didn't have a shift today" I say. "Well I don't know where she is" Ruby hops up from the couch and walks into the kitchen and over to me. "I think she's gone to her friends house" she grabs her sandwich from the kitchen counter and takes it back to the living room.

"I'll be back" I say quickly and walk up the stairs to my room. I grab my phone from my charger and ignore the awaiting messages and notifications from social media. I go through my messages until I find mums contact.

You: hey mum where are you??
After I sent the text, I put my phone in my pocket and walked down stairs. When I sat down on the couch next to Ruby, I felt my phone vibrate. I pulled ,my phone out quickly as I thought it was mum but it wasn't. Instead, it was Jessie.

Jess❣: hey I'm having a party tonight and since I haven't seen you in like a week I thought you'd like to come? Text back pls xx
You: idk Jess i mean what if Tyler is there or Josh
Jess❣: they won't be and if they are then you don't have to talk to them. If you feel uncomfortable at anytime just come to either me or Chloe and let us know ok?
You: hmmm i still don't know. I'll think about it
Jess❣: Ok but pls think about it quickly
You: Ok whatever I'll come
Jess❣: THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
You: why are you so excited?? 😂
Jess❣: no reason just dress up in something not too nice but kinda casual. The party starts at 8:30pm but lots of people will arrive at like 9pm so I prefer coming at around 8:45ish
You: Okie cool catch ya later
Jess❣: bye Hun

Great. Just great. Guess I've got plans for tonight then.
