Mila-Rose's POV
I take off my slip and look at all the other girls. Rosa is in red, high waisted bikini that suits her nicely. Mariana is in a maroon triangle bikini that fits her petite figure well. Gabbie has a orange bikini with a ruffled off the shoulder top. I have a yellow, high waisted bikini with a bandeau top. "Gabbie I love your suit. The top is really cool." I say. "Thanks. I love your suit. It's a nice color." She says. I smile and look out towards the water. The guys are running around, except Corbyn, who is by the shore and playing with my puppies. I grin and make my way over to him. "Having fun?" I ask. He looks up and smiles. "Pancake only barks at the water. Waffle just sits and looks at me like I'm stupid." He says. I laugh. Waffle waddles back up to where Rosa and the other girls are and falls asleep in the sand.

"Have you tried picking Pancake up and putting her in?" I ask. He shakes his head. I grab Pancake and walk a little bit past the shore. I set her down and I can feel her starting to paddle. "Awe my baby wants to learn how to swim." I say. Corbyn laughs and grabs the tiny dog from me. He slowly lets her go and she comes paddling towards me. Once she's close enough, I pick her up and kiss her head. "I'm so proud of you baby. You learned how to swim." I say. I turn to where the other boys are and look for Jonah. "Marais! Come here!" I shout. He walks over and looks at me. "Yes hunny?" He asks.

"Look what bean head and I did." I say. I set Pancake back in the water and she paddles over to Jonah. He picks her up and rubs her head. "What about Waffle?" He asks. "She was having none of this. She went to take a nap." Corbyn says. Jonah laughs. "She's smart." He says. He sets Pancake back down and she heads to Corbyn. I walk over to Jonah and climb into his back. "Where do you wanna go?" He asks, looking over his shoulder. "Anywhere. As long as you come with." I say. "You guys are gross." Corbyn says, walking out of the water with Pancake. I roll my eyes as Jonah walks to the shore but water still hits his ankles. He walks down the beach and we just stay in a comfortable silence. He makes it to a spot where a huge tree sits and a few flat rocks. I slide off his back and grab his hand.

I drag him towards the rocks and we sit down on one. I pick some flower by the side of the rocks and start making a crown. "You know how to make flower crowns?" He asks, watching my hands. "Yup. My dad used to make them all the time." I say. "I wish I could have met him. You talk so highly of him." Jonah says. I finish the crown and place it on his head. I look into his eyes and smile. "He would have loved you." I say. "How do you know?" He asks. "Because I love you. And you make me undeniably happy. My dad loved whatever made me happy." I say. He smiles. "Tell me about your family." Jonah says. I grab more flowers and start another flower crown.

"Well all my family understood why I wanted to be put up for adoption. Between loosing my dad and my mom going crazy, I needed a new start. I keep in contact but I needed to leave. I have tons of cousins. They would love you guys. We all act like little kids. My aunts are special. They will go completely in mom mode and then ten seconds later they will be laughing like high school girls. My uncles are relaxed and wise. My grandparents are all over the place. I love them but I wouldn't go back." I say. "Why not?" He asks, taking my finished crown and placing it on me.

"It gets hard sometimes. And I'm so happy here. Getting adopted into the Paul family was one of the best things to happen to me. I became happier and I've grown as a person, in ways I couldn't with them. I have amazing friends here. I have you. I have the other boys. I have the girls. I have so many other people here. And if I didn't choose to go up for adoption then I wouldn't have any of this. I'm sure I'd be happy if I was with them. But this happy consumes my entire body." I say. He nods. "That makes sense. It's hard to picture life without you now." He says.

"I couldn't picture my life without you either. Knowing I'll always have you in my life, whether you're my boyfriend or just a friend, is amazing. When I know I'm going to see you I get happier. My day can be going to complete shit and just seeing you will make it so much better. When I have good news, you're the first person I want to tell. I love being able to fall asleep next to you and wake up and see your face. You're the person I look for in a crowded room. I have a love for you that consumes my entire body and it scares me sometimes. It scares me because it consumes me so much and I know if I were to ever loose you, I'd break." I say.

He wipes the tears that escaped my eyes. He kisses my forehead and wraps an arm around my shoulder. "I love you in the same way Milly. I don't plan on loosing you because if I did it would break me. I was waiting for a better time but I don't think anytime is better than now." He says. And with that, he pulls a ring from his pocket.

A/N: it's short. I know. I suck. But I wanted to make that moment special. So deal with it.
