Happiness. Sadness. Anger. Anxiety. Fear. Love. Emptiness. Calm. Worry.
These are all feelings that people have on the daily and feel and experience with all of themselves.
What if you don't feel all this? What If you forget how to feel or what If your body doesn't know how to react to these emotions.
Then you go Numb.
Your days start to drain of emotion and your actions are slowing and have no feeling or intention in them.
You feel like you're just going through the motions. And the worst part is, you can't make you're real emotions just magically come back.
There's a lot of pretending, and a lot of acting once you become Numb. You have to act happy when someone tells you good news.
You have to act sad when something goes wrong. You have to fake being angry when someone tries to piss you off, and the worst is when you have to act scared when nothing scares you anymore, not even death.
The only emotion I have that still hasn't frozen over is love. Love is the one thing I've managed to cling onto.
No matter what I've been through or how people treat me, I still love them, because you never know
Telling someone that you love them could be exactly what they need on a day when nothing is going for them.
I want to feel all my emotions and I want to feel them deeply, but I don't know if I can because
I feel numb.
