Trans Moth Boi Has Issues

So I need to rant real quick and I'm not sure if I'll publish this or not.

So on musically there was this kid that made an audio that added s to LGBTQ+ as in straight. The thing got blown up and has apparently reached my cousin.

Well she posted to her snapchat saying something like "straight is a sexuality so it's part of the LGBT community because the LGBT community is also a bunch of sexualities."

I don't know if she was trying to joke or something but I'm pretty pissed off.

Straight is NOT a part of the LGBTQ community. Straight is the "normal" sexuality. Being straight does not get you hate crimes. It does not get you killed, harassed, ridiculed, mocked, disowned, or presacuted. The LGBTQ community is called LGBTQ for a reason. The community is a safe space for us to find others who feel the way we do because in real life, we are risking our own safety to come out. Many of us have to stay hidden while straight people don't have to worry about someone hurting them for who they love and who they are attracted to. You can argue all you want that "Oh, but straight is a sexuality"

Yes, it is, but it is not a part of the LGBTQ community, which by the way stands for Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trangender Queer/Questioning. It includes people whose identities are not the majority.

Straight people have always been accepted, LGBT+ have not. They have been fighting for years for equality while the Straight, White, Cis have been given everything without question.

Heterosexual marriage has always been legal all across the world throughout hidtory but the first country to legalize gay marriage was The Netherlands in 2000.

I'm not saying that someone who is trans* and straight means they are not apart of the community. What I'm saying is that the Straight cis people that think Straight/Heterosexual is part of LGBTQ are wrong because it is not. While it is a sexuality, it is not a sexuality that is considered "wrong" or "different". It is what is considered "normal".

LGBTQ does not include straight.

Also side note : I've always thought most straight cis people would hate for other straight cis people to know they would "be a part of LGBTQ" because that's the gays. Just saying
