Abigail's POV
"Lou! C'mon! Hurry up!" I yelled from downstairs. Louis and I actually went to the same school. We most of the times went to school together.
Sometimes we took the school bus, but this time we're going by foot.
"Yep yep, let's go." He rushed down stairs.
"Bye mom!" I said at the same time as Louis said, "Bye dad!"
He closed the door and jog to catch up with me.
"Damn, you're fast." He smirked as he adjust his backpack.
I glanced at him, "Or maybe you're just a turtle." I teased back.
We split ways as we reached the school to go to our respective classes. We still have the time to settle down and talk with our friends.
I sat on my chair and took my phone out from my pocket.
"Ehm." She clears her throat. It's my very best friend, Heidi.
"What do you want." I respond flat. She chuckles and continued,
"So how was it?" She raised her eyebrows with a big smile.
"How was what." I looked back to my phone, not interested with where she's going.
"I saw you took off with him yesterday." She said with excitement on her face.
"And what?" My brows had gone furrowed. I can't help but showed a hint of annoyance.
"Oh c'mon, Abbs! Tell me more!" She shake my shoulders.
"Okay, so.." I dramatically started before I saw him walked in.
"Ohoo, keep on guessing I suppose." I smirked knowing that she wasn't going to get the information she wanted anyway.
After he sat on his chair, the bell rings and students rushes back to their seats.
.
(Edit : this chapter is so cheesy I'm sorry 😂🤧)
The bell rings once again, which means it's lunch break. Mom didn't have time to make us lunch so I have to go to the cafeteria.
As I'm about to close the class room door, someone put his feet between the gap and I immediately let go of the door handle. It was Nathan.
"Oh! I'm so sorry!" I said in worried.
"Hey, It's fine!" He laughed at my expression.
"I'm alright." He smiled at me. I nodded and made my way to the cafeteria.
"Where you going?" He half yelled.
"Cafeteria!" I replied shortly as turned my heels facing him, walking backwards. He jog to catch up with me and I turn my heels back as we walk in a same pace.
We both got our foods, and we found an empty long bench and sat across to each other.
Nathan took a bite of his burger, and I'm just really bothered of what Louis said yesterday.
"You know, Nathan.." I stir my food.
"Hm?" He hummed while chewing on his food.
"I'm really, really, sorry about what Louis said yesterday." I began to stick some of my food unto the fork in my hand.
"There's no need to about it Abbs. It's fine. Really." He locked eyes with me, assuring. He must know that I feel really guilty.
