Chapter 16 - Lunch Date

I open my eyes and close the book infront of me as soon as the bell rang.

I pack my books and stuff into my backpack.

I got on my feet to exit my classroom, but being stopped by my best friend.

"Enjoy your date." She held her cheeks with her palm as she rest them on the table.

"Ughh, I don't knoow" I said as I land my butt on the chair again.

"Whyy?" She asked with a concern look on her face, "you okay?"

"I don't know. I'm just so tired and actually just need sleep. I'm afraid that I won't be able to show interest and it'll make him feel bad." I cover my face with my palm.

"Aww, how do I help youu!" She shook me by my shoulder.

"I don't knoowww!"

"C'mon, cheer up my frieennd!! Maybe you'll get your first kiss on this date!"

Then my eyes grew wide as I realized people are still in the room and some of them are looking to our direction,

"Shut it!"

"Sorry.."

"Okay.." I took a breath.

"I'm fine. I'm totally fine. I'm excited. I'm sooo excited."

"That's the spirit. Let's go." She said as we got on our feet.

As we reached the door, Nathan has just arrived to our class.

"Hey, you ready to go?" He slide his phone down his side pocket.

"Yeah, of course!" I replied.

"Okay now, both of you get out of my sight." Heidi crossed her arms to her chest.

"Yes ma'am." He said as he grabbed my hand and starts walking.

"See you!" I looked over my shoulder to Heidi,

"Gud luck!!" She screamed as she waved her hand at me.

Fingers crossed.

"Have you eaten?" He looked over to me.

"No.. I haven't." I pouted as I started to feel hunger.

"Perfect!"

Oh no, please don't take me to a fancy restaurant.

I smell.

I look like shit.

My hair is a mess-

"What do you think about Burger King? It's on me." He smiled.

"What?"

"Yeah, you can order whatever you want. I'm buying." His smile grew wider.

"Are you serious?!"

"Yes!" He excitedly replied.

"So I ran around that field 15 times for nothing?!" I stopped my tracks.

"Uhh, Yes?" He nervously answered.

"Oh hell yeah, I'm in!" I screamed excitedly.

"Yeaaahh, hahahah!" He lifted our hands in the air and laughed at my excitement.

We entered the building, still hand in hand.

"You know what you want to get?"

"Mhhm." I licked my lips as the excitement starts kicking my hungry tummy.
