Chapter 3

All I could think was...mate.

I can't find my mate! I don't want to be rejected. So what do I do when I see a pure black wolf that smells like fresh pine and Ginger? If you didn't guess it I ran and I didn't stop till I found my clothes, shifted back, got dressed.

I heard thunderous footsteps, so I kicked it into high gear and ran as fast as I could to the house that our pack was staying in.

My brother ran over to me and looked very worried. "Sis why are your eyes a glowing yellow?"

My parents walked over and looked very nervous and suspicious "Kids, we have to talk to you."

Great. "Alina and Eric you need to know that w-" The door bursts open with an angry-looking man standing there. "Alpha Jackson, how are you?" My dad looked nervous mainly because this was the man that was letting us stay here, and he didn't look too happy.

"Jackson, why do you look so mad?" My mom questioned. Then he said the words that I hoped I wouldn't have to hear.

"Mate."

My parents looked at a few girls around the room pointing to them with anxious glances. Every time he would shake his head 'no'. Finally, Eric had gotten some guts and said something that I would kill him for later "This isn't working so just grab her and show us." His words rang through my head as the alpha walked over towards me. My parents didn't look too happy, while Eric was stunned.

I was grabbed and dragged to the front "This my mate." Eric looked furious, probably because he thinks I'm going to get hurt. Most alphas are known as players because they want to be satisfied until they find their mate and the part that most likely worries him is that sometime alphas cheat on their mates forever or until their ready to settle down. I know what you might be thinking...what if he gets another she-wolf pregnant? Well, he can't. Simple as that. The Moon Goddess thought about this and made sure that it wasn't possible.

I looked at my mate and said something that he wouldn't be too happy with, "I Alina Willson reject Alpha Jackson as my mate." And then I ran.
