Second chance

Chapter 13

Alina's P.O.V.

I've been in the blue moon pack for two weeks, and I found my second chance mate. I was really nervous that he would reject me, but instead he accepted me and I was filled with joy.

"Hey Alina there is a meeting this weekend and I was wondering if you still wanted to come?" Caleb asked me.

"Of course!" This weekend there was a meeting with some neighboring pack and I had to come because I was the mate of the third ,and he had to go because he had to learn his duties.

-day of the meeting-

Today I would see part of my old pack, and Jackson's pack. I was nervous but Caleb kept telling me that he would be right next to me no matter what.

As soon as we got there I took in a deep breath and walked in with Caleb, Alex, and Joshua (beta). When we walked into the meeting room I felt a dozen pairs of eyes on me, and I knew who eyes they were. "Excuse me could I talk to you" Eric had crept behind me, Caleb didn't like the idea of another man talking to me.

"Don't worry he is my brother"

He let out a soft growl. "Fine, but be careful."

"I will." I gave him a peck on the cheek and followed Eric out the doors.

"Who is he?" Eric looked mad, sad, and curious at the same time.
"He's my second chance mate." Before I could respond I heard a familiar voice boom behind me.

"WHAT!" I turned around and saw Jackson looking furious.
I mind-linked Caleb 'Help me!'

"WHO IS HE?" I was so scared. I didn't like being yelled at.

At that moment Caleb came out of the meeting room and walked over to me and gave me a hug ."It's okay Alina, I'm here."

There was a cough that made Caleb let go of me and stand up "Why're you upsetting my mate?"

"Your mate? YOUR MATE! SHE'S MY MATE NOT YOURS!" Jackson was ready to shift, and at this point everyone came out of the meeting room to see what's happening.

"Alpha Jackson calm down what's wro- Alina is that you?" My dad shoved his way through the crowd to help stop what was going to happen and my mom came running over and gave me a big hug.

Alex pushed his way through the crowd to us. "Ahem, Alpha Jackson, what seems to be the problem?"

"WHATS WRONG IS THAT MY MATE IS IN THE ARMS OF ANOTHER MAN SAYING THAT THEY'RE MATE!" Everyone looked at Caleb who was walking over to me.I saw Alex walk over to Jackson. Oh boy, this'll be fun. Not.

"Jackson it is possible for her to have a second chance mate." Jackson looked at Alex confused.

"What, how?"

"This is often the case when a wolf is a warrior wolf, which she is." People gasped. "I know it's shocking, but for now you have to calm down Jackson"

Jackson let out a low growl and Caleb pulled me closer to him. "How can I calm down when my mate goes missing for almost three weeks and the I find her with her 'second chance mate'!"

I couldn't handle it anymore "Why wold you care? You're the reason I went rogue and found Caleb." The room went silent.

"Wait, he's the reason why you went rogue?" I looked at Caleb. I nodded and his mouth quickly went into a straight line and his eyes started swirling between his natural blue color and black.

"Alina, what did I do to make you run away from me?" I looked at Jackson with hatred in my eyes.

"You know perfectly well what you did. You kissed another she-wolf in front of when you knew that we were mates."

I heard a loud growl from behind me. "HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO ALINA? SHE'S THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PERSON IN THE WORLD AND YOU JUST GO AND KISS ANOTHER SHE-WOLF!" I turned around to see Caleb with pitch black eyes, his wolf Jason took control and let me tell you, he was furious.

I turned around to Caleb and gave him a big bear hug "Shhh it's okay Jason calm down. Please give Caleb control back." I felt Caleb's muscles start to relax and his eyes started to turn back to there ocean blue.

"I vote that we have this meeting tomorrow, but only the Alphas." I saw Alex's giving this command and I was all for it.

"Let's just go Caleb." I grabbed his hand and tried to lead him away.

"Okay, and please try to stay away from other packs when your away from me." I nodded and gave a peck on his cheek. As we walked out. I heard a growl from Jackson.

Jackson's P.O.V.

When they walked out all I could think was 'How could she just move on?"' I was just in shock, she was supposed to be in love with me! Not that Caleb guy.

No matter what I have to do, I will get her back. No matter the cost.
