I couldn't say anything. Peter had told me not to, said he would tell her himself.
Stupid council, stupid law, and stupid consequences.
The blood was still fresh, seeping slowly through the newly formed scab. I knew my eyes flashed, but too fast for her to see the red bloodlust which covered them. I knew she saw me stiffen, but she didn't know why. I was safe, for now.
I could hear her tearing open the tissues behind me, dabbing it on the bandage, hopefully she had enough common sense not to open the bandage, then we would be in trouble.
I would have been fine, had it not being HER blood which had spilled. Had she not being what she was, her blood would be as common as the filth around her, but she wasn't, she just didn't know it yet.
Twelve more hours and I would have help, twelve more hours and she wouldn't be my responsibility.
God help me.
