Adalyn knew this plan was going to work, it had to. But she couldn't help but feel like something was going to go terribly wrong. That feeling was eating away at her like a wave hitting a rock, causing it to slowly erode. It's that same feeling she had during the prison job. Something was going to go wrong.
Sully and Adalyn made their way to the entrance of the palace that stood before the. If it weren't for Sully, she probably would have bolted at this point. He could tell she was nervous and his strong hand gripped her arm just a little tighter, which gave her a little more comfort. "You'll be okay kid. I promise." Sully muttered to her, with a cigar in his mouth, as always. They began their ascent up the stairs, and Adalyn's heart rate got so fast the closer and closer they got to the door. She can handle herself, so being in the party isn't what worried her, it was the fact that Sam and Nate have to make a climb around this heavily guarded place, unnoticed. And knowing the Drake brothers, things could get really messy before they even start climbing.
Adalyn pushed those doubts out of her head and smiled as the two of them approached the big security guards at the door. The guards gave the two of them a thorough search and let them through. Adalyn let out a sigh of relief, they made it in. They made our way through the crowd making their way up the stairs.
Sully knew this estate pretty well and had the perfect room in mind to get the boys in here without being seen. The two of them walked over to a large staircase and ascended to the second floor. Sully lead the way up to a large door. They both looked around and made sure no one was watching before they quickly snuck into the room. Adalyn walked over to the large window in the room, and made sure it was unlocked, while Sully gave Sam and Nate the signal, by turning a lamp on and off. They were pretty far away so that gave Sully and Adalyn 10 minutes tops, before they would get there.
Adalyn walked over to the sofa Sully was sitting on, and sat next to him. This sofa had a very odd, and distinct smell. It was a combination of tobacco and perfume. The only reason Adalyn wasn't climbing with the Drake brothers was because her dress caused a couple problems. She could have chosen something a little bit simpler, but she had a part to play, and the dress was necessary.
"You alright, kid?" Sully inquired, gently nudging Adalyn with his elbow.
She looked over at him letting out a long sigh."I'm fine." She stated with a small shrug.
Sully looked over at her with a raised eyebrow.
Adalyn rolled her eyes and looked down at the floor. "I guess…I'm still trying to process the whole situation. And I've got a really bad feeling about this plan…"
"The plan will work." Sully reassured.
"God I hope so..." Adalyn whispered.
"We just need to keep our cool and everything will be fine. I will be with you every step of the way. And those boys know how to handle themselves." Sully smiled before taking another puff of his cigar.
After a few minutes the brothers came through the window, in really nice tuxedos. They looked amazing. Nate greeted Sully. It had been a couple years since they saw one another.
Sam hadn't moved from the window as he looked Adalyn up and down, his eyes wide and his mouth wide open. He'd never seen her in a dress like this before so his expression, and loss for words didn't surprise her.
"Wow...Adalyn...you look..."
"Thanks." Adalyn finished his thought. "You don't look too bad yourself." The two of them looked at each other for a moment before Adalyn cleared her throat and turned to Nate and Sully. "You all look great."
