They made it. The plane ride was a pain in the ass, but they made it. The beautiful hills of Scotland. Adalyn looked around taking in the scenery. "Jesus it's cold!" She complained as she rubbed her hands together trying to get some blood flowing and warm them up.

Nate and Adalyn knew this area pretty well from spending a good chunk of their time here with Rafe all those years ago. She began to get lost in her own thoughts of all that time. Going through grief that she could never explain. But Rafe never showed a single sign of remorse. It angered her to know that such a good man could grow to be so insane over such a short amount of time. And for what? Just some damn treasure,

"Adalyn, you coming?" Sam shouted, taking Adalyn out of her trance. He and Nate were already making their way down the cliffs.

Adalyn nodded and began to follow them, keeping her eye out for Rafe and his army. There had been many explosions, so no doubt they were there somewhere. Thankfully, they were focused on the cathedral and were pretty far from the graveyard.

"Hey! There is a way down here!" Adalyn shouted looking down at a rock slide. The boys walked over to Adalyn's side and took a look. "It's gonna suck but it's the fastest way." Adalyn took the first leap of faith and skidded down sideways on the loose pebbles. She jumped off the edge and pulled out her grappling hook, throwing it into the air catching herself midair. She could hear the boys swear behind her as she pulled herself up. She missed climbing, jumping, and flying through the air. She smiled and let out a sharp exhale before looking back up at the boys. "Keep up slow pokes!" She urged. A bullet flew past her head causing her to duck behind a crate that had 'Shoreline' written in big letters on the side. Dammit Nadine and her little army started to spread out. Adalyn began to return fire when the Drakes landed beside her helping take out the rest.

They downed the last guy they could see and stayed silent for a second waiting for another goon to show. But it was clear. Adalyn stood up putting her gun back into its holster, starting forward slowly. After a little bit of walking they came across some ruins and headed down toward them. They walked up to the door but it was locked. Adalyn cursed under her breath and took a step back looking at the building.

"One of you could boost me up and I can find a way to…" Sam suggested

"I've got a better idea." Nate said. Adalyn and Sam turned around and Nate was grinning with a stick of dynamite in his hands. Adalyn smirked and walked over to pick some up as well. Sam, being the cautious person he was, urged us to be careful, but Nate and Adalyn had a lot of experience with the stuff. Adalyn ordered the boys to back up as she lit one of the sticks, throwing it towards the door before she ducked behind a crate. The explosion was loud, and splinters of wood flew everywhere. When they stood up, the door was gone and they had access to the building. There was a hole in the roof but there was no way any of them could get up there. Even with a boost.

"Maybe we can use a crate?" Nate suggested. Sam and Adalyn nodded in agreement. They had to blow another door to get to the crate. Nate began to push it. As soon as it dropped, There were voices that were not any of theirs. Quickly they ducked out of sight, rolling into some tall grass.

"Shoreline." Adalyn whispered. The boys nodded and started getting farther and farther away. If they stayed together the goons would definitely spot them so it's best to split. Adalyn counted 6 all together. They could have taken them all out with their guns but that could have drawn more attention from other soldiers. She climbed onto the edge of a wall quickly hiding behind a crate. There was a guy just over on the edge staring into the ocean. Staying low, she snuck towards the soldier. She jumped up on his back, her arms wrapped around his neck choking him before he could call for help. After he was taken care of, she ducked out of sight once more.

One down, five more to go. Adalyn thought to herself.

After a couple of minutes they finally took all of them down. Nate was already starting to push the cart so Adalyn went over to help him out. They climbed through that hole in the ceiling and they were standing on a cliff. Adalyn began to calculate the route they needed to take to get to their destination, and it included a lot of swinging and climbing.

"Follow me." Adalyn said with a small grin, launching herself off the cliff into the open air. She could hear the boys shout her name as she hurled down to the ground. And, once again, at  the last possible second she threw her rope. She then swung smoothly down to the cliff side, catching herself on the edge. As she pulled the rope free, she looked at the two brothers. Sam was completely white, and both their mouths were agape.

"Would you stop doing that?! Jesus!" Sam exclaimed.

She chuckled softly and let one hand go gesturing to the open space around her. "You two coming?" She called. They snapped out of their trance and followed behind.

"You really like trying to give us heart attacks don't you?" Sam said. She laughed and rolled her eyes.

"Hey, it's just a bit of fun. I know what i'm doing. Don't worry so much." She insisted. But no more than an hour later she did the same thing, but her grip slipped and she fell towards the rocks and water waiting below. Before she could even yell, Sam caught her hand. She swung her legs in the empty space below and looked up at Sam.

"Oh yeah, you totally know what you're doing." he teased.

Adalyn rolled her eyes. "Just get me up please?"

"I'll swing you over to that structure. Ready?" He asked. She nodded and swung to help him out a little bit. He let go and she flew through the air landing on a rockslide, gravel digging into her skin as she went down. She looked forward and saw a sheer drop. She jumped and cleared the space slamming into the ground on the other side.

"Superhero landing!" She yelled in accomplishment. She heard Nate behind her. But he caught a lower edge and slipped. "Nathan!" Sam and Adalyn yelled his name in unison. She ran to the edge of the cliff and saw Nate hanging on a ledge. She relaxed slightly, her heart still pounding in her throat.

"You've got a real knack for breaking things..." Sam said "Especially cliffs." Adalyn chuckled softly. He's not wrong. Sam then began to cross an old bridge, and I was about to follow him but as soon as she got to it, it collapsed under him. She swung her arms in the air to keep from falling.

"Looks like it runs in the family." Adalyn teased, and she heard Nate give out a slight chuckle.

Sam stood up and smiled slightly looking over at her. "Maybe…"

Adalyn looked at the gap between her and Sam. It was too far to jump. She took a look back up at Sam and there he was offering his hand.

"Jump. I'll catch you." He offered.

She looked at his outstretched hand and her stomach began to do flips. If he missed...

"Adalyn..."

She looked up at Sam, meeting his eyes. Her breath caught in her throat and she felt a sudden rush of calm flow through her.

"I won't miss." He promised. Adalyn nodded and took a deep breath. She walked backwards a few steps. Before she could think about it too much, she ran forward, throwing herself into the air, and into Sam's strong arms. She cleared it without any assistance knocking Sam back a few steps. He held her for a couple seconds, the smell of coffee and cigarette smoke filling her nostrils.

"See? You didn't even need me." he whispered. His hands slowly made their way down to her waist.

It reminded Adalyn of the last time we stood this close, back in the good old days. The days when they were two teenagers dangerously in love with each other. Heat kissed her cheeks and she took a step back, avoiding Sam's gaze, hoping that the cold air would hide the pink that formed in her cheeks.
