In this fickle universe, you are marked from birth as either a hero, villain, or innocent. Even the doctors don't know your result, and it doesn't show up on your skin until you're 18. even then, no one except the bearer can see your mark.
Orion has been marked as a villain, but is trying his best to avoid the destiny that is being thrust into his lap.
River is marked as an innocent, but as she discovers more and more about orion, finds that she is more than her mark tells her.
Together they both learn that sometimes you must act outside of your mark to save the ones you love.
