It took Betty a while to actually listen to the soldiers and let go of Emily so that Emily could ride in the plane with Bruce. She had to make sure that Emily was okay multiple times and even with Emily's reassurance, the girl was still reluctant to let go of her best friend.

"Seriously, Betty. I'll be fine," Emily told her, but the frown did not leave Betty's face. "Fine," Betty let out an exasperated sigh. "I'm heading over to Leo's, but if you need anything just give me a call, okay?"

"Okay," Emily said with a small laugh before hugging Betty again. She then made her way over to the plane while Betty walked over to her father to yell at him.

Emily walked on the plane and went to sit next to Bruce, but a soldier quickly sat down next to him and shook his head. Emily frowned and sat down across from Bruce who just gave her a small smile.

The two sat across from each other just looking at the other as the plane took off. Emily knew she wasn't allowed to do it, but she still reached across and took Bruce's hands in her own. The soldiers looked at Emily, but once they saw the glare that she was giving them, they quickly looked away and sat back in their seats.

Bruce chuckled softly and muttered, "That's my girl. . .striking fear into the hearts of men with only one stare." Emily laughed at that and rubbed a thumb over Bruce's hand as he smiled softly at her and pressed a kiss to her hands.

"General, you should hear this," the pilot said and Emily turned her head to look at General Ross as he listened to someone talk over the radio. She faintly heard the words, "The Hulk is in the street! I repeat, the Hulk is in the street!"

Emily raised an eyebrow at that and looked over at Bruce who seemed to have the same shocked look on his face. They watched as General Ross looked back at the two before shaking his head and saying, "That's impossible. You get a hold of yourself, young man. You get it together. What is your position?"

The soldier on the other line said an address and General Ross sighed as he put the radio up and said, "Turn us around."

"We're going back. Why are we going back?" Bruce asked, but no one answered him. Emily looked over at Bruce and his hands tightened their hold on hers as he looked over at the General who was yelling, "Damn it! Give me eyes down there!"

"Yes, sir!" a man yelled over the line and Emily craned her neck to try and see the small screen that was currently showing live video from down on the ground. She saw a faint explosion in the background and then a figure run across the road before the soldier yelled, "What the hell was that?"

Emily and Bruce watched as the camera moved around as the sound of the car hitting things filled the air. Emily's eyes widened and growls could be heard coming from the screen.

"No!" Bruce yelled as he quickly stood up and let go of Emily's hands. He tried to walk over to the screen, but the soldiers sitting next to him quickly grabbed ahold of him. Emily quickly stood up as well and ran over to Bruce's side where they then began to watch the horrible events that were happening down low.

Screams were all Emily could hear beside the growls coming from a big figure that was being illuminated by a giant fire. "What is that?" Emily asked shakily and Bruce's hand immediately took hers.

"One of yours?" Bruce asked General Ross making Emily's eyes widen. "Oh, my God. What have you done?" Emily asked, but he remained silent.
