:She was on her way out when she was caught by Cronus who knew what was going on as far as Finley's death and wouldn't let her leave until she explained what was going on. "I Can't do it Cronus I can't turn him into something like us. Karkat was different. He was still going to be him, he wasn't a kid. I just can't."

KARKAT: Karkat tries to reason with Finley, telling him that it would probably be best for him to go to heaven, saying. "If you lose yourself, you'll never achieve your dream." He was trying to speak through tears. He wanted to be able to say that Fin could come back. He wanted to agree but he only saw that either way, he lost his son.

:Damara was once again being held, this time Cronus hugged onto her from behind and walked with her back to the bedroom. A new sort of sternness in her voice even if she was still edging on crying. "Fin honey, I promise you that I'll keep looking for a way to bring you back but you have to go, we won't burn your body for when we find that way but until then you need to be safe. For us, for Feferi, for you okay? When you get up there talk to an angel named John, he might be able to help." There was a long stretching silence before the radio crackled to life. "Okay, I will. Bye mom, dad, uncle Cro and Kankri. I love you guys." Kankri stood just behind Cronus in the doorway of their room.

KARKAT: Karkat puts his hand on Finley's body, he manages to say between sobs. "We love you too Fin...be careful okay?" He was shaking, one hand holding the radio in his lap, the other laying on Fin's body.

:There was no response, the radio completely turning off as he was already gone. Cronus letting go of Damara as she pulled away from him to rush to hold onto to Karkat like he would be next to disappear.

KARKAT: Karkat drops the radio and holds onto Damara tight in the same way. He sobs into her silently. "I-It's all my fault."

:"No it's not sweetheart, none of this was ever your fault. If it wasn't for you he would have never even had the chance to live. He was still happy, he had his very own fiance, and we made the final month of his life as happy as he could have been." She said pulling back to hold onto his face to make him look at her. "This isn't your fault, And meeting you had him on cloud nine, at least here he was able to have people who loved around while he passed away."

KARKAT: He could no longer make any words as he sobbed into Damara, once again feeling like he's lost everything. He would sob for maybe an hour before he was just sitting there and holding Damara. He says with a hoarse voice. "He's not going to stop..."

:"No he won't, but this time it was an eye for an eye. He took something you loved and I took something he loved. And if he really wants to keep up what he's doing I won't hesitate to go back to who I used to be to protect you." She said as she sat on the edge of her bed and held onto him.
