Look! Another chapter that's probably going to be filled with cringe and stupidity! Ahem. Enjoy, I guess...

It was a week before Grimsborough's most celebrated holiday, aside from Thanksgiving, that is. The whole city was covered in Christmas lights and in the center of every district there was a decorated tree. It seemed like nothing would go wrong for the GPD.

Samuel walked inside, feeling rather at peace with the entire station today, which wasn't like him at all.

"Whats's wrong with you?" Thomas asked him

"It's the week before Christmas! Can't a guy be happy?" Samuel asked

"Yeah but I was expecting you to be the grouch of the town, y'know? You always seem like you're angry at someone, mainly Archer, or something."

Samuel shrugged and Archer walked in "I heard my name, what's going on?"

"King's happy." Thomas said, still not believing that the Corporal was actually happy for the upcoming holiday.

"Yeah, he finally asked someone out." Archer said "Trust me, it won't last long."

"I did not ask anyone out. I'm jus happy that the happiest holiday is almost here." Samuel said, whistling.

A few minutes after they had parted ways to their own desks and offices there was a scream outside followed by a car crashing right into the police station. Chief Reyes was on the scene before the other officers.

"Great." Samuel muttered, his good mood vanished.

"Told you." Archer muttered to Thomas

"It wasn't a bet." Thomas hissed

"Looks like you won't get Christmas week off, everyone. I'm sorry." The Chief said

"If we get this done in time could we at least have Christmas off?" Robb asked

"If we finish in time. But if we don't, then no." She sighed "King, since the car crashed inside the station, check outside."

"Got it." Samuel left to investigate

"Man I miss him being a happy person." Archer muttered

"I found something!" Samuel called "It wasn't an accident!"

The Chief, Archer, Thomas, and Robb all ran outside to see Samuel holding a gun that didn't look like any of theirs.

"Take it to Freddy, Robb we need an autopsy, and King, who is this person?"

"Well I found an ID that said 'Nautical Museum'..." Samuel trailed off

"And?"

"It's the director."

Samuel had left the station to talk with the few workers from the Nautical Museum that he knew. He would talk to Donna last.

A German worker by the name of René Wulf had told him that she has seen the director (Diana Schmid) at the Opera House. Marc Garnier had been with her an hour before the crash filing paperwork before she left. The third suspect he talked to, Helen Parks had denied seeing her director at all that day, which was suspicious to Samuel.

"Donna!"

"I've heard already, Samuel." She said

"I'm sorry, Donna." He murmured "Did you see if she left with anyone?"

"I thought I saw someone but I didn't know who."

He smiled sadly "Do you know if they were arguing?"

"No, but she looked like one of the other workers here." Donna frowned

'So the killer works at the Nautical Museum. How convenient of them.' Samuel thought

"Thank you, Donna."

Samuel had said goodbye to his friend and headed back to the station to hear what Freddy and Robb had to say about their separate analysis.

"Hey King, whose that girl you were with at the Nautical Museum?" Freddy asked eagerly

"Which one?"

"You know, brown hair, green eyes, dresses all business-ey"

Samuel blushed "Oh, her. She's a friend of mine."

"She seems like more than a "friend of yours" to me." Freddy smiled at him "If you like her-"

"Can we just get this analysis finished?" Samuel snapped "And I do not have a crush on anyone!"

"All right. The gun you found was not a police gun, it was a 9 millimeter,"

"Damn."

"And on it I found this symbol." Freddy held up a picture of the symbol that had been on the weapon.

It was a compass star with a crimson colored rose in the middle of it. Samuel knew that symbol.

'The Crimson Order. So they killed Diana. Or one of their members at least.' Samuel thought with disgust. "Thanks, Freddy."

"One minute. You looked a little upset when I showed you that symbol. What does it mean?" Freddy asked

"All I know is that it's the symbol of a cult. I don't know how many there are in this city." He lied

"Then I'll do some research on it-"

"No!" Samuel cried out

"What do you mean no?"

"Just... don't! Don't go snooping around for them because there's no information on them. Believe me, I've tried."

"You'd better be telling the truth, King." The Chief's voice behind him made the Corporal jump.

"I am!"

"I'll believe you. But if you are lying then it'll be at least a month of suspension for you."

"Understood, Chief." Samuel paused "Can I talk to you about that symbol?"

"You know something about it?"

"The Crimson Order. They were behind Diana's death."

"How are you so sure?"

"The symbol Freddy found on the gun was theirs and he was going to do research on them. Anyone who does that usually winds up dead, and if Diana found something out about it then they killed her for knowing." Samuel sighed "That's why I lied to Freddy about the symbol he found. I had a little run-in with them myself and they almost killed me."

"And?"

"And I think that either someone found out about them and wants to join them or they were already a member and were following their orders..."

"Should I alert the rest of the team?"

"No."

"Why?"

"From what I've managed to learn about them is that if anyone is alerted or warned then they're as good as dead. When they attacked me and a friend of mine for knowing too much, I was the one who got the more sever "punishment" and I don't really know why. I was in the hospital for about a month!"

"King! There's someone here to see you!" Archer called

"Who?"

Archer laughed and then there was an "Ow!" from him. "It's your favorite friend!" There was another punching sound again. "Jesus Christ woman!"

"Shut up!" Donna growled

"Donna? What's wrong?"

"I'm in trouble..."

One, hello summer! And two... this just keeps getting worse... either that or I'm just a bad writer. Oh well. Part two should be out sooner or later.
