Extra - Side Story

Ever since I arrived in Seoul, I've been wondering what it would be like to live independently. I was very far away from my parents, I live in an apartment alone, and got in on the middle of the semester. I wanted to have warned everyone beforehand, but if there's something I really love doing, it's getting smiles off my friends' faces. I'd been in Korea for a few days already. As soon as everything had stabilized and I could breathe, I went quickly to meet Jaehyun. He was my best friend since childhood, and because we used to live in the same neighborhood back that time, I was always in his house. Of course, as a result I met Gayeon. But who would have thought that I would meet her now as close to Jaehyun as if their friendship had never ended?

At our childhood days, I noticed the way Gayeon looked at me. Not wanting to be convinced, I just kept it to myself, but what if I started to reciprocate such feelings?

"Do you like anyone?"

"No. Do you?"

"The girl I like, likes somebody else"

He was so easy to read. Jaehyun couldn't hide his feelings from me. And for his sake I vowed to myself not to become more involved in these turbulent waves of sensations that that girl was causing me. Jaehyun had always been a very faithful friend and preferred to put the people he cared about in first place at all times. This irritated me, so I gave up first just once.

Now back in this neighborhood, facing the Jung's house, I realized. My mistake was to believe that there were no feelings left from that time ago. Gayeon was prettier, no longer a girl but a woman.

It was hard the days that I was there to see Jaehyun's affection and the passionate look Gayeon gave him. I was so angry. Every second I was thinking about how much I regretted for not visiting her before my departure to Japan and confessed all my feelings.

It was supposed to be my love story.

With all those negative emotions wandering through my mind, I realized how much their feelings had become so real. There was no way I could compete with him now. How would I tell my best friend that I wanted to have his girl? It was then that a pretext arose. By a slip Jaehyun found out about my feelings and decided to give it up again. I won't lie, I would really take Gayeon away if he weren't my best friend. Oh, Jung Jaehyun what wouldn't I do for you? Taking this opportunity in my favor, I tested her. Could she still have feelings for me? My tactics would obviously be flaws. What a scumbag friend I would be stealing the girl who's my best friend has always loved from afar. I reflected on my actions and decided that my regret, for not being sincere should not become Jaehyun's either.

I'm grateful that they both finally understood each other. It's still hard to watch them close, but I'm a good actor.

The weather was changing, and with it a new semester was beginning. I sat down next to Johnny's seat as I always did in that classroom since I started attending college.

"We have a new student" upon entering the room, the teacher called us attention to himself "She came transferred due to personal reasons"

She introduced herself and seemed excited even though she was a newbie and came in the middle of the course. The sunshine touched my face gently, forcing me to smile at the teacher's speech.

"Since she is in a situation similar to yours, after class, show the university to her Yuta."

"Count on it, Mr. Kim" Johnny teasing me since forever and causing laughter in everyone in the classroom.
