Sixteen

Marcus was talking, blabbering something but I had no interest, I wasn't listening to I completely ignored the words coming out his mouth.
I was too busy scanning the room looking for the girl. Where was she?

"Then the cake exploded" said Marcus
"What?" I asked confused
"Come on dude, who you looking for? What's so interesting?" He asked me

"So talking about the cake exploding was the first thing that came to your mind when you tried to snap me out of my thoughts" I asked
"Yeah pretty much" he shrugged
I shook my head smiling slightly.

"By the way, there she is" he said pointing to the bar.
I immediately looked up and before I could register I was walking towards her. I heard Marcus laugh slightly.
I turned and walked back to him realising how stupid I probably looked right now getting up that fast.

"I'm not that desperate ok man" I told him
"Sure what ever just go talk to her" he told me, I shook my head before walking back towards the girl.

I stood next to her at the bar but I was stuck for words. I've never been this nervous in my life, what the hell was wrong with me?
I was about to walk away when I heard her voice.
"Ain't you going to offer me a drink?"
I looked down to her face and smiled, I liked her confidence
"I suppose that depends on your choice of drink" I smiled at her
"How about... a whiskey" she said
I gave her a questioning look, a bold drink for a girl like her.
"It's bold yet simple, tastes great and it's real alcohol. Worth the money if you ask me" she further told me
"My favourite" I added on to the list
"My favourite" she repeated

We had talked for hours, it was nice but then I remembered that Marcus was still here and we had to leave.
Business needed to be taken care of at home.
"What are you thinking about?" She asked
"I'm thinking about how I have to leave...even thought I really don't want to" I told her
"And why's that?" She asked
"I have to leave because I have a flight to catch but I want to stay because this is where you are" I told her
She looked deep into my eyes before smiling
"Then maybe you should stay" She told me "because this is where I want you to be" she added on.

She really wasn't making this any easier.
"Excuse me, Ezio we should be going now" Marcus told me
I nodded before looking at the perfect creation in front of me.
"It was nice to meet you Ezio, thank you for the drink" she said to me.

She stood up and kissed my on the cheek, before she could leave I grabbed her arm delicately pulling her back to me.
"I will return Sofia and when I do I will find you" I whispered into her ear

"I'm a very hard person to find" she smiled

"It won't be difficult for me, I will see you again very soon" I replied

"I'll be waiting" she said before leaving my sight.
