RRRRIIIIIIINNNNNGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGGGG!!!!!!!
Ah yes, the good old 'starting the story with the alarm clock' thing. Well this is how my day starts, and in case you're wondering, I'm that big lump under the blankets desperately trying to get a few more minutes of sleep before getting up and going to school. Sadly, hiding from the world won't work because either way I'm going to get dragged into reality. . .Literally. My safe haven has been intruded by my one and only mother throwing the sheets off of me and pushing me off of my warm and cozy bed."Rise and shine sweetie! Time for you to get ready! You don't want to be late again do you?"
I didn't reply, only groaned and glared at her as I dragged my feet to the bathroom that I share with my older brother. Don't get me wrong I love my mother, but in the morning, love doesn't exist. I got into the bathroom to see my brother, Chris, already there brushing his teeth. We go to the same school, NorthWest High School, but he's a year older than me, a senior, while I'm just a junior. I push him out of the bathroom so I can take a shower, and turned the water on.
After my shower I went to go get , I wasn't in the mood to actually put some effort into my appearance, so i just threw on some jeans and a sweater that my dad got from the military. I don't usually wear makeup, but when i do it's just some mascara, some eyeliner maybe, and a bit of lipstick. I don't like wearing too much makeup because it makes my face feel heavy. I pulled my long ombre hair into a pony tail, slipped on my black converse, grabbed my phone and it's charger, and headed downstairs for breakfast.
When I got downstairs I wasn't surprised to see my whole family already eating, since I'm always the last one to get ready. My family is pretty big and getting bigger. I have both of my parents still happily married for I forgot how long, then my brother that I mentioned before who is 18 now. Then after him is me! Valerie! I'm the second oldest child in my family at 16 years turning 17 this April. And after me is my other brother Dustin who is 14 years old and in 8th grade. After him are the 2 twins in my family Oliver and Olivia, both of them are 7 and in second grade. Last but not least is my unknown sibling who has been residing in my mother's womb for 6 months now. He or she is expected to be born in June this year.
I ate my breakfast in silence while everyone else was chatting among themselves, not really having anything to say. I finished my breakfast and put my dirty plate in the sink, then I grabbed my book bag and my glasses off the dinning room table where I left them last night. Oh right! I forgot to mention that I wear glasses. Yeah I need them but only to read. My vision is fine, but when there are words involved I can barely see a thing (unless its really big).
I went outside and waited for my brother on our so he can drive us to school. I know how to drive and I have my license but I don't have a car. My brother is the only one with a car (besides my parents) so he has to drive me. Buuut, I am getting a car next year when he leaves for college! Yay! Chris backed the car out of the driveway and I got in the passenger seat. The ride to school was normal, with the car radio blasting at the loudest volume, and the 2 of us singing shouting at the top of our lungs, and occasionally cracking a few jokes. Me an my brother got along pretty well sometimes, but we are siblings, and siblings aren't allowed to like each other all the time.

We pulled into the school parking lot and parked in the usual place. I got out the car and in mere seconds my brother disappeared to who knows where. Most likely to all his other idiotic jock friends. I walked into the school and instantly saw my 2 best friends Vera, and Autumn. The 3 of us have known each other since kindergarten and have always been the best of friends.
Vera Mason with her curly red hair and hazel eyes, is the bubbliest and most energetic person I know. She's always smiling and being nice to people and all that stuff, she's also a huge gossiper. We're both on the soccer and volleyball teams for my school, so we see each other a lot after school, sadly we don't have any classes together except for french and homeroom. You see I love Vera with all my heart it's just that. . .well. . .lets just say she's not the smartest one of us. I'll leave it at that.
