"Oh my gods! It's Rick Riordan!" A girl from the back of the autograph line screeched excitingly..
"Oh wow! Did you hear that rumor about Rick being an actual god and he was told to write stories about Percy Jackson, which are real, so is mortals can believe again so the gods can live!" Another girl replied excitingly.
"I hope it's true, because it's be so cool that I got a God's signature!" A girl on front of them said.
All the girls smiled at each other.
"I'm Penny." The first girl offered.
"Josie." The second girl smiled.
"Olivia." The third girl saluted.
"It's so cool to finally meet another fangirl in person! No one in my school reads Percy Jackson. It's such a waste." Penny wrinkled her nose.
"I know only one other fangirl, but she's a bully and calls herself a daughter of Aphrodite and Zeus." Josie gagged.
"Eww! Gross! That's disgusting!" Olivia laughed. "I feel like I'm the only lucky one here because my best friend and I are fangirls, but my best friend was sick and couldn't come."
Penny gasped. "Really?! I feel so bad for her! Tyche must have been mad at her."
The girls chatted for a while until they reached the front.
There he sat. A god, a role model, a king to the Percy Jackson fandom.
Rick Riordan.
"Hey girls! How's life!" Rick grinned at them.
"Great! Besides the fact that you killed off Zoe! She was my favorite! I'll never get over that!" Olivia pouted, crossing her arms grudgingly.
"Ahh, yes. Her. I enjoyed writing that part, imagining your reactions." Rick smiled proudly.
"You know, sometimes I wonder why I'm still in this fandom. Then I remember, it's because of the reason that made me wonder that." Penny crossed her arms.
"Huh? That didn't make sense, but I'll pretend I understood. Do you girls want your signatures now? Or are you actually empousai in disguise who want to eat me alive?" Rick leaned back into his chair, reaching for his pen.
"Oh, gods! How did you know?!" Josie retorted sarcastically.
"It's because I'm the god of writing!" Rick said with a serious face.
Silence.
The girls and Rick bursted into laughing fit.
"Wow, thank you for this, Rick. Here." The girls slipped Rick their books to sign before bidding him goodbye.
"Best day of my life." Olivia sighed dreamily.
Meanwhile, once his Meet and Greet was over, he called a taxi.
"Where to, sir?" The taxi driver asked, not even bothering to look up.
"Empire State Building."
The taxi driver didn't even reply as he started to make his way to the Empire State Building, probably breaking at least ten traffic laws on the way.
Once they arrive, the taxi driver held his hand out for payment. Wordlessly, he paid the taxi driver and walked towards the Empire State Building.
"600th floor, please." He said to the front desk guy who was busy on the phone.
"Hold on for a second, Tasha." The guy put his phone down. "Sorry, sir, but there is no such thing as a 600th floor of the Empire State Building."
"Oh shut up, Bill. I know you know it's me. Now let the god of writing in or I'm telling Athena about this." He deadpanned.
"Right. Sorry, sir. J-just enter the elevator and, oh right, you know what to do. My mistake. Go on your business." The guy stuttered, gesturing to the elevator.
Silently, he entered the elevator and made his way to the 600th floor. When he arrived, he immediately started to make his way to the throne room.
"Athena!" He yelled out in the empty throne room. Immediately, said goddess appeared on her throne.
"How did the fan signing go?" The goddess of wisdom asked from her mighty throne. Immediately, the god of writing
