Yoongi focus
"Namjoon," Jin said after Jimin had left the kitchen furious, "I wanted to ask you this since yesterday: Do you know the difference between lecturing and teaching?"
Namjoon furrowed his eyebrows. "Isn't that the same?"
The doc looked displeased. "No, it's not. The difference lies within the tone you use while speaking. Could you, for the sake of the team, stop sounding like you think of yourself as superior? You're lecturing. Try using a neutral tone when you speak, because right now you're sounding like a damn prick!"
The physician had become unhealthily red during his little talk, and Namjoon stared at him, mouth opened to say something but no sound coming over his lips. A speechless Brain was quite seldom. Yoongi almost felt like applauding. He shook his head at the thought. Taehyung was rubbing off on him.
"I gladly take the time to teach you the difference," the hazel-haired offered before he left.
"He's right," Taehyung said in a playful tone towards the commander and stood up as well. "I think you could be a pretty decent guy, if you stopped talking like we're dumb kids. Especially towards Jimin. He seems to suffer enough from only being a passenger."
And with that, the V left too.
Yoongi looked at the raven soldier in front of him. Would he say something or not? If the muscular frame in the black turtleneck would not contrast that much with the white walls of the ship, one could easily forget about him. Today he had heard his voice for the first time, and it had not been unpleasant. The man should talk more often. But who was he to say something like this when he preferred being quiet, too. Well, if it was not for a certain alien that made him talk way too much. Now that he thought about it, he should probably apologize for before, so he stood up to follow his piloting colleague.
"Offi- Yoongi?" Hoseok interrupted his plan. "May I talk to you privately?"
The captain did not sound like it was something particularly serious they had to discuss, but his almost black eyes held an attentive glint. With a half-shrug-half-nod motion he gestured the brunette to lead the way.
When they entered the bridge, Hoseok turned around to him. "Taehyung told me about his assumption that you're a Switcher." Yoongi almost growled. This damn V seriously had talked to the captain about this when he was not even sure? "Would you take a DNA-test?"
Yoongi frowned. Of course, he was interested in this, too, but he felt betrayed by the first pilot.
Hoseok seemed to see the irritation on his face and tried to becalm him. "I'm just suggesting this because we could train this ability to maybe use it in the battle."
Yoongi took a deep breath and smoothed his face into the normal uninterested state. "I know, captain. I'll take the test if that's the right decision."
"No, it's not about right or wrong. We just-"
"Might I add something," Bang interrupted the soldier.
Hoseok looked slightly confused but gave his permission.
"My database does not contain information about DNA albeit Dr. Kim has the technical abilities to make a test. All I could do is compare officer Min's DNA to a human one, but the doctor can do this, too. So, we can only determine whether he's human or not, nothing more."
Hoseok looked slightly disappointed, but after Jimin's explanation of AIs at dinner, they both understood.
"I'll head off now, if you allow me to," Yoongi said and looked at the captain expectantly. He had to confront a certain alien.
