CHAPTER 1: The Stars Above Us (part one)
About two hours before the morning announcement from Monokuma, I woke up. I sat up and stretched.
I glanced around at my surroundings. "W-Woah where am I?!" It took me a few moments to remember what had happened and where I was. "Oh, right.. Wait! I have to hurry to the cafeteria!"
A few minutes later, I hurried to unlock and open my locked door. Before I could actually touch the doorknob, someone had knocked. A k-killer?! Lost in my thoughts, I didn't open the door. The person knocked again.
I decided to just take my chances and opened the door. "Y-Yes?"
"Deku-kun, you have to come to the cafeteria with me!" Uraraka sounded frantic. "No one will go with me! Or believe me! C'mon!"
"O-Okay!" Without hesitation, Ochako grabbed my hand and started to run in the direction of the cafeteria. She took my hand!!

Once we actually got in the cafeteria, Ochako brought me to the kitchen area. She brought me around the middle counter and pointed at the dead body of Todoroki Shouto, the Ultimate Heir.
The first thing I noticed was the blood. It wasn't fresh. "Oh my god!" The floor seemed to sway under my feet, and I could only think how I could've prevented this. "H-He's dead!" I turned to Ochako with fear. "W-When did you—?"
Her body trembled as she answered. "Just a little while ago.. I j-just wanted to get something to e-eat when..." Ochako couldn't finish, she turned away to grab a trash can to puke in. I guess she can't handle dead bodies. Neither can I. I'm barely holding up. It's a miracle I've lasted this far.
Todoroki was laying on his left side wearing a shocked expression, and an apple that looked like it rolled away from his hand. There was a knife sticking in his right lower leg, and a knife in his head. I didn't want to look at the multiple stab wounds in his stomach, or the dried pools of blood.
As I was staring at Todoroki in shock, I could hear Monokuma's voice. "A body has been discovered! Everyone, please gather in the kitchen to investigate!"
Why would someone want to kill Todoroki? Kacchan, maybe.. No, I shouldn't start accusing people without evidence. I guess I better start investigating. I really don't want to, though..
I decided to start small. The rolled away apple seemed good. There was blood on it, and the way the blood had been splattered on it indicated that Todoroki must have been holding it. There was a bite mark in it.
(("Getting a snack" has been added to the Truth Bullets section of your Monopad.))
As I finished inspecting the apple, Monokuma and the others has arrived. Monokuma started to pass out something called the Monokuma File. I opened up the file as soon as I got it.
The basic info.. Height, weight.. However, there was no time of death or cause of death. Then, Bakugou walked in. Kirishima, Denki, Sero, and Ashido started talking to him immediately.
(("Monokuma File" has been added to the Truth Bullets section of your Monopad.))
It was beginning to feel crowded in the kitchen.
I did the best I could to ignore Bakugou.. Until he forcefully grabbed the collar of my shirt and pushed me against the wall. "What the hell is going on, shitty nerd?"
It seemed that the majority of the people in class did not look at the body. Bakugou suddenly let me go as if he remembered something.
"E-Everybody, look!" I pointed at Todoroki's hidden body. The people who haven't looked at the body suddenly noticed and started to almost scream in terror.
Bakugou didn't, he just glanced at Todoroki in disgust before turning his attention back to me. "You killed someone. How pathetic, Deku."
"B-But I—!" I tried to protest, but Ashido beat me to it.
"You can't just blame people right off the bat, Bakugou!" She argued, then pointed a finger at Todoroki. "For all we know, he could've killed himself! Distrusting each other is not gonna let us go anywhere!"
"He clearly was stabbed by one of us, kero. Multiple times, at that," Tsuyu pointed out. "We have no choice but to accuse each other."
"What about that fashionista guy who's always looking at the cameras?! He's fishy!" I heard the others start trying to blame the murder on the 'most suspicious'.
I sneaked out of the kitchen, Iida and Ochako following after me. I checked out the tables for anything, but I didn't find anything useful. "Hey Deku-kun, we should check out Todoroki's room for clues!"
"Isn't that a breech of privacy?" Iida made hand motions, as if he was cutting the air.
"Well, he's.. dead, so it shouldn't really matter." Ochako frowned. "C'mon, let's go."
She's acting way different than she was before. Almost like her being freaked out was an act. I should keep this in mind.
(("Suspicious Activity" has been added to the Truth Bullets section of your Monopad.))
We walked to Todoroki's room, to Ochako's request. We opened the door. "Why is it not locked?" I step inside, looking around.
Iida and I discuss how we feel about this whole situation as we investigated, but Ochako kept silent. After checking everywhere else, I checked under the pillow on the bed.
A envelope with blood splatter on it. It seemed that it was opened before, and closed back up again. I gulped, and hesitated to open it. I felt myself shaking. "What are you waiting for, Deku-kun? Open it," Ochako encouraged.
I open the envelope, and read the letter that snuggled in it.
"Dear Todoroki-kun.. Please meet me in the kitchen. I need to tell you something. Don't worry, you can trust me."
(("Letter in Todoroki's room" has been added to the Truth Bullets section of your Monopad.))
I stared at the letter in shocked silence. Did Todoroki really fall for this obvious trick?
