Alexis finished stocking up the soda in the farthest back isle when she heard the door bell ring indicating that someone was walking in. She nosily poked her head out and felt her face flush in anger and resentment as she laid her eyes on her ex-boyfriend Aaron, as he started flirting with dani. Luckily Dani glanced over Alexi's way and quickly looked back at Aaron and shot him down with a snarky remark, causing Alexis to laugh loudly, and she ducked behind the isle just before Aaron saw her. She got up and quickly and quietly walked into the break room as the bell rang again, and slides her back down the wall till she reaches to floor. She sighs, and grabs a snack and takes her lunch break. While Alexis is on her break, The bell rings and Dani tilts her eyes up to see a handsome young man with shoulder length hair that probably hasn't been brushes in a few days, who looks a few years older than her. She gives him a genuine smile, and he returns it. He turns around and walks over to the pens and pencils and crouches down and fingers with some of the boxes as he makes his decision, Dani quickly scribbles a note down after seeing him grab multiple boxes of pencils and pens, and a armload of notebooks. Dani giggles and says curiously.
" do you by any chance go to Allentown college?" He blushes slightly as he sets his stuff down lightly and nods.
"Yah I major in literature" He runs his fingers nervously through his hair, and she laughs.
" I'm surprised we never met each other before, because I'm majoring the same thing! What a coincidence." He smiles.
"I'm Alexander"
She finishes bagging his stuff and tucks the note in with a free pen coupon.She hands him his bag and says kindly.
"I'm Danielle, it was nice meeting you Alexander, I tucked a free pen coupon in with your bag if your interested"
He gently takes the bag from her hand causing their fingertips to brush, and smiles.
"Thanks! That will come in handy with the way i go through pens! Hey... can I ask you something"
She smiles, and nods.
"Go ahead!"
He smiles
" How come I haven't seen you around here at the store before?"
Her smile falters momentarily, and an undistinguished emotion flashes in her eyes, before she shrugs calmly and says.
" i work all day on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturday, and Sunday, and in the lorning till 1:30 pm on Tuesday and Thursday."
He nods and takes out a pen from his pocket and a peice of paper and writes his number on it and hands it to her with a wink, and walks out. dani stares at the note and smiles, truly happy for the first time in months.
