She could hear the bustling of voices outside, even though it was early. It was the most populated week at the bazaar, being a couple months before Christmas, and everyone had to make sure that the presents got to their family in time. She knew that she had to go there today, whether it was to get food, water, or something else. This meant that she'd have to talk to someone, which she hadn't done in a month, the last time she went to get food. She wasn't really a talker, but she could muster up a few words if she had to. For her, a normal day was wandering through the town, observing people get water from wells, seeing school children walk back home in the late afternoon, or maybe even petting Mina, the cat she had grown quite fond of. She liked her home in the thick castle walls, they weren't completely solid, with a space barely wide enough for her skinny body to walk through. She could listen to princes and princesses gossip, hear the plans that the rulers had for the kingdom, and the small talk of the guests, where they wouldn't even know she was there.

She had always stayed isolated from other people, knowing that they would never see her the same. Some would say she was a fairy, others would say she was an angel, maybe even a witch, but she wasn't. She was an adenydd, and her name was Ella, Ella Andora. An adenydd is a human like creature that has antennae and brown wings that seem to delicately dangle from their backs. They typically have brown hair and big amber eyes, but the colors would sometimes vary. Ella looked like any other adenydd, regular wings, regular antennae, and regular eyes. The only problem with this was that there were no other adenydds in the kingdom. There were other creatures, of course, but no adenydds. Ella would walk through town and all day she would see humans, elves, mages, werewolves, nekomimi, fairies, kitsunemimi, and sometimes banshees at night, but still no adenydds.

Ella thought about going to the bazaar, maybe she could get something fancy, like a new dress, or a ribbon to tie her hair up, hers was getting old and faded, and her braid was falling apart. All Ella had to wear was an old dress that didn't even reach her knees, and a weathered leather jacket she had found stuck in a tree. Most importantly, she had her older sister's necklace, a flower with an amethyst in the middle. Her entire family was dead, but it didn't bother her too much, because no matter how much she mourned, no matter how long she spent sobbing in her sleep, they still weren't coming back. Ella only thought of the happy memories, and the adventures she was able to go on. As she was holding her pendant, she squeezed out of the wall and into the town.
