LILITH'S POV

I just got home when I saw my brother already playing Left 4 Dead on his Play Station 4. He didn't even notice that I walked through the door. I placed my bag on the counter before checking if there's still some nutella in the fridge so I could make a sandwich.

"No no no no!! Damn it!" my brother yelled.  I chuckled since his character got shot.

"Who's there?!" He yelled, hiding his face on the couch, his eyes are the only one showing as he peaked who was in the kitchen. "Oh, Lilith. It's just you, phew," he said before clutching his chest. "I thought it was an intruder."

"Do I look like an intruder?" I asked him as I took off my blazer leaving me wearing my white long sleeves. "Even if I was, you'll probably be a hostage now. You didn't even notice me walk in our huge door."

"Well I'm sorry miss president," he mocked. "Can you make me a sandwich too?"

"You're already 10 years old Lux. Why can't you make your own sandwich?"

"Because you make the best sandwich!" he smiled making me smile.

"Mhm whatever," I said whilst making him a sandwich.

I walked over to the couch and sat next to him, getting a bite of the sandwich I made before taking the second controller to play with him.

"Nooo, I don't wanna play with you. I always lose," he pouted as he ate his food.

"You should play better then," I grinned and he huffed.

"I'm home!" Our mom said as she got in the house.

"Hi mom!" Lux kissed our mom on the cheek, I did the same.

She sighed and walked to the solo chair and slumped her body onto it.

"Left 4 dead huh?" She asked and hugged the pillow that was  on the chair.

"Yep! I need to win this time, mom," Lux said before starting the game.

"How was work, mom?" I asked and she sighed.

"The murderer on the lose is my biggest problem so far," she said and I gave her an apologetic smile.

"It's alright, mom. The case would be solved any time," I said and she tapped my thigh.

"Thank you, sweetie... Anyway," she said and stood up. "I think a friend of yours is outside our house. He's been walking back and forth in front of our house. Kind of creepy actually."

"What friend? I don't have any other guy friends?" I said and immediately a brick was thrown through our window making it shatter. I covered Lux and I read what was on the paper.

DON'T CROSS ME.

The paper said.

"Mom-" I didn't finish my sentence because mom took the paper without reading it and going outside of the house.

I stood up and pushed Lux in his room before saying "Don't go out until I say so, okay?" he nodded, I can see the fear in his eyes.

I took my phone from my pocket and messaged all of my friends.

RED FLAG

Mom got inside and took the phone and called the sheriff's office.

"I'll be downstairs, mom. I called red flag," I said and she nodded. She knows what I mean.

I went through my room and walked through my secret door to go down the stairs leading to the basement where our headquarters was. It's one of the perks of having a basement, you can use it as a head quarters. Since our lot is big, I used the basement as a library, gaming room, and a headquarters too. It's that big.
