SEIGE'S POV

TYPEWRITERS LEAGUE: Murders in Frostwallow (published year 2018)
For the past year there has been reportedly four murders in our beloved town. The murders may not seem to be connected but it does have a pattern. The murders happened on the months of January, April, July, and October. The victims ranged from child to elderly. Until now, the cases have been left open yet no one or no police in our town wants to get in touch with the said cases-

I closed the site and sighed. I didn't even want to finish reading the article since I think it's kind of BS. Today's Monday, and that means I have to go to school. I have been awake for the past hour now, reading different articles about the incidents in our town. Some were car crash, and drowning in Lake Odin which is near our school. But the number of murders are higher than the accidents. I sighed and stood up to check if I still have some mac and cheese in my small pantry or as what they see, my cabinet of food. I store some food inside my room because I never know when I want to just stay in and not leave my room. Specially when there are guests that I'm not fond of. Like the other day when my brother and his wife were here.

My brother and I used to be close. Before he got in a relationship with the girl and she started living with us. All those school nights that I have to stay up because they're fighting about a small thing. The girl just makes it a big deal when in reality, it shouldn't be.

I was trying to be nice and get along with her but it just didn't work out. No matter how hard I tried, it didn't turn out as I planned it to be.

I planned to have a good relationship with the wife of my brother. Like going out with her on regular days because we just want to hang out, I'd open up to her because no one else would be listening to me, she'd let me annoy her and she'd have a good come back. You know, the relationship of sister-in-laws in movies. But this woman, she's oh so different. She'd be continuously complain about the small inconveniences she encounters, she'd be annoyingly comment about stuff she doesn't even have full knowledge about. Just for the sake of her being in a conversation.

I keep it to myself from my family, because I know that I'd be the wrong one. But I do tell it to my friends, and they help me calm down when ever I need to. That's why I'm really grateful to have them.

"Seige?" My mom called as she knocked on the door before she opened it. "Oh good, you're awake. I'll be leaving today."

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"I'm the guest speaker for the Nutritionist Seminar in Fearfort. I'd ask for you to come with me but you have school today."

"Mhm, well maybe next time?"

"Yup. Now your dad's already awake, he's just lying in bed and watching his Thai series again," mom rolled her eyes and walked towards me before giving me a kiss. "I'll be back by tomorrow."

"Okay, stay safe, mom," I said and she nodded. She left my room and closed the door. There I watched her go down the steps of our porch and walk towards the car. It's already 5:30 am and some people were already awake, mostly elder people. I was looking at the people around and there I saw someone who was unfamiliar. It seemed like a man, he's wearing a mask so I'm not sure specially that I have poor eyesight. It was suspicious, his movements were different. Just about when mom finished putting her stuff in the trunk, the man walked towards my mom and I saw him handling a baseball bat. My eyes widened and I immediately grabbed whatever I could and ran down the stairs screaming "MOM!"

She stopped walking and then I saw the man hit my mother's head with a baseball bat. I was infuriated. I ran towards him and tackled him down. His head hit the ground as I sat on top of him and stabbed his neck with what I was holding.
