SEIGE'S POV
Daphne left already which made me feel a bit sad. I really wanted to spend time with my friends, especially during this time that my mom is in the hospital and dad's there with mom. Even if she's getting out tomorrow, I still like the company of my friends. It's like I'm safe and I always feel happy when I'm with them. I do treat them as family more than I do treat mine.
The girls and I were eating dinner when dad called. He said that they would come home tomorrow afternoon. I probably wouldn't be here since I'll be at school for football practice. He said that an old friend of mine is around town since he was visited by my certain friend earlier at the hospital.
I don't remember any old friend of mine. As disappointing as it sounds, I never actually had a lot of friends before. I mean I did, but they were the type to be there on your ups never during the times of your downs. They weren't there when I needed them even if they said that they're always there for me. Some even did me wrong just because of some lame reason.
"Last one to finish gets to wash the dishes!" Quinn says happily as she raises her plate to show that it's completely spotless.
"Damn it," Autumn cursed as she looked at her plate still filled with food.
"Don't worry, I'll wash the dishes," I said and was about to put my plate in the sink when the doorbell rang.
We all stopped what we were doing and looked at the time. 9pm.
"Seige, I-I don't think it's okay to open the door," Quinn said.
"I got this," I said and took the baseball bat that was by the door. Always convenient for me. We're big fans of baseball bats.
The doorbell rang again and I opened the door widely then gasped when I saw who it was.
"Ashton!"
"Siege!!" He smiled and gave me a hug. I hugged him back and looked at him again. His hair was short and still dressed the same. A black shirt, skinny jeans and converse.
"Why are you here?" I asked him and I looked down where I saw a bag beside him.
"I heard about Rosebud so I came here. Just making sure she's okay, and of course wanting to know if you're okay," he smiled. His hazel colored eyes shining like before.
"Seige," Harper called. "We'd be up in your room," she said and I nodded. Quinn not failing to wiggle her eyebrows.
"Wanna come in?" I asked him.
"Of course!" He said with a strong accent.
"You've learned an accent?" I laughed.
"Not actually. You do know I was born in Australia and my accent was there when we were kids. But we moved back when we were in-"
"7th grade.. yeah, I remember. I didn't have a genuine friend after that." I said and he smiled weakly.
"I'm here now," he said. "You're graduating this year, right?"
"I am. Why?"
"I'm gonna stay until your graduation. Then I'll go back to Australia after, wanna come with?"
"Wait, Ash.. it's only October. The graduation is at May. Where would you stay?"
"Here." He said and pointed at his bag. "That's why I brought a bag with me. I'll just buy some clothes when I run out of new ones."
"How about school?" I asked him.
"I've finished already. You didn't hear?" He asked. "I skipped a year so I graduated last year."
