"chan. well, bang byungchan. technically chris. just call me chan though, please." chan smacked himself internally for being such a dumby when he was in front of such a cute boy.

jeongin giggled, and chan probably almost died from the gorgeous sound.

"can i call you channie? or hyung? or channie hyung? or just chan if you don't want a nickname." jisung already felt like a third wheel when they agreed on 'whatever jeongin wants.'

as jeongin was squeezing his best friend to death and kissing his cheeks all over, a thought popped into chan's head.

"ah. i wanted to ask this earlier, but, uh.." he stopped and saw that both of the boys were looking right at him with puzzled faces.

"are you two dating?"

jisung literally started wheezing, falling off of the cafeteria bench. jeongin giggled at his friend on the floor, turning around to answer the oldest. "n-no, he's just my dumb best friend."

this left chan puzzled to why the youngest was so touchy, and in all honesty, the oldest was probably a little jealous too.

he really wanted to touch jeongin, for some reason. maybe it was because of how soft his hair looked, or his cute pastel yellow sweater. either way, he still wanted to protect him.

he stood up and sat on the opposite bench, next to jeongin. their thighs bumped and chan had to yell at himself for being so excited over someone.

"why aren't you eating?" chan's heart sank.

jeongin had a caring nature behind all of his shyness. even though he wasn't completely comfortable with the older yet, he probably knew he was an okay person.

"i already ate." chan smiled and looked away, feeling guilty already.

the youngest frowned but shrugged it off, taking a sip out of his chocolate milk. cute, chan thought.

"do you like sweets?" jeongin's eyes started to sparkle, and chan could see it, but jeongin quickly turned his head and gave a disheartened shake.

jisung finally got off of the floor, probably after staring at art aka lee minho, and sat down on the other side of chan. this left jeongin fidgety, because he wouldn't be able to touch anyone until the end of the day, as jisung only had two out of six classes with him.

jisung pointed at jeongin accusedly and stated,

"liar." jeongin wouldn't look back at chan, but you could tell he was embarrassed because the tips of his ears were bright red.

"he won't say for who knows why, but he really loves sweets. pastries and cookies and cupcakes, you name it. he doesn't like frosting though, unless it's homemade." suddenly the two others at the table heard a bang and turned towards jeongin, who had his forehead on the white cafeteria table.

the eldest noted this thought, deciding that he was definitely going to bring jeongin something sweet when he could.

"jisung! now he thinks i'm fat. this is why i can never get a boy-" jeongin paused and whispered 'friend.'

chan didn't hear anything after the 'thinks i'm fat' part, though.

"jeonginnie," chan started, examining the younger's expression. "you are in no way fat, i think that liking pastries and stuff is a good quality. i will make amazing cake, and i will force it down your throat if i have to."

jeongin was blushing for five reasons.

one, jisung had just leaned backwards and mouthed 'that's what he said' towards jeongin. two, he really liked nicknames. he found them intimate and loved it whenever anyone called him like that. three, chan had literally just said that jeongin wasn't fat without even seeing his figure. four, did i mention jeongin loves nicknames? five, chan can bake.

which means that he might also be able to cook. which means he checks off a huge box on jeongin's list.

jeongin gave a small smile and nodded, about to hug the eldest but deciding against it when the bell rang.

"bye sungie! nice meeting you hyungie!" then jeongin swung his backpack over his sholder, leaving the cafeteria and a soft chan.
